I'll start with old news, you can scry 3 times on a rainbow, if you move away from it you can come back and and scry 3 more times. I've been able to do this up to 5 times. I count on no less than 3 times, for a total of 9 chances, definately stock up on the stones. What I have recently discoved is that if you can get unearthed creatures is that you can continue to examine your stones if there is no rainbow! I've done all this in Nek. Generally around the waterfalls, as there is always been a rainbow there when I've been there. I have repeated this twice. First time I ended up with over 20 examines of stones by moving first and then letting the 'Exhumed' fails beat on me while I continued to scry more stones after rainbow was no longer present. Thought is was a fluke until I tried second time and had 7 examines with things beating on me (I ran out of scry stones.) Not sure if the creatures present make a difference, as I'm still trying to determine a pattern, but I have adopted the paradigm that they do, so have not tried differently. I will test again to see if my theory is correct, though I hate to do it since I'm spend 70% of my time crafting and don't want to miss out on any good stuff when I do adventure.

Regardless of how many times you can do it, I don't see the point in doing it. I have never gotten anything worth a crap from scrying.

It has always been the case that scrying will work for a short time after the rainbow has disappeared.

If you must do it, the best places are near zone spots, Varsoons backdoor comes to mind, you can scry, zone in and out and scry again. This also lets you check both instanced for the rainbow when TS2 is up.

Agree with above, theres is apparently no real point or benefit unless you are doing the Tish Tinker's Torch quest. I think it was supposed to be a money sink but was too complex for most people so they moved on to gambling goblins.

Other then to get the books and complete all 18 for the Prefix you mean. If you are not familiar with how that works I can write something up but I would think that someone already has by now.

Also, there is a possibility that you can come out ahead cashwise on this activity. You can get 50 coins/scrying stones as a reward which in turn sell for 10s each. Also, it is worth getting familiar with which loot items sell to the vendors for more then what the offered scrying stones/coins do. I noticed in some circumstances that the items can be worth almost double of the other stuff offered.
