OK, i JUST came across this, to my amazement.
At the shieldsmith in temple street, elm round shields are 1s, 87c. Now, if you have 87, or any multiple; 174, etc. when you buy just ONE elm round shield, instead of costing the 1s. it only costs the 87c. You can sell this back and keep doing. just don't sell anything else in your inventory by mistake, like i did, or this exploit stops. I'm going to continnue researching. I'll post back if I find anything new.
EDIT
Hrmm... just checked this out again, weird.. Can't get it to do it again. in retrospect, I'm not 100% sure on the ability to replicate this anomoly. However, I went from 3 silver to 32 in a small amount of time doing this. I was like, "HOLY SH!T!"

Temple street is in freeport. I'm assuming 87 is the ammount of copper you need to have.

Yes, when i did this at first, I had around 3s, 87c (though, further thought into this causes me to believe it is something other than 87c...Not sure what thuogh as it's tough to replicate) Anyway, I clicked on the vendor and bought an elm round shield. I looked at the money and it had only gone down by 87c. I was like, "Ok, wtf." So, to test that i just hadn't missed the silver going down, I resold (for 1s, 30c - therein lies my prob. If it's 30c, then it's not a multiple/denominator of 87 anymore). I bought two more, sold those. 5s now.
It stopped after I accidently sold a dagger that was in my inv. I figured it threw the numbers off too much.
IF anyone can get this to work again, it would be great. I'm almost 100% positive the devs, nor anyone, has any knowledge of this whatsoever, besides you guys.

well, they do now =] As much as I love the concept of these boards (Im here several times a day), posting here is about the same as /bug reporting it. Hey admin, hows about ya ban Sonys IP range?
Anyhow, as for this specific bug, I think I have an idea of whats going on, but will test before I shoot off my mouth further.

I doubt that Sony signed up for this site, honestly, if they signed up for every little hack site that started up they'd go broke.

a: at "Over 40,000 Members", this isn't a little hack site- just lots of lurkers. And even the little ones are watched by enough people that love posting other peoples finds elsewhere and pretending to have discovered the exploit themselves. From what I've seen, this board has a higher than average percentage of original posts, or at least posts that give due credit.
Anyhow, back on topic- tried about everything I could think of- failed to duplicate your results. As for my thoughts on what was going on, type /get_coins and note the value shown for copper- its always zero. Now, its very possible that they're unrelated- after all, that bug has been in since beta- while it always looked like it had potential, I've never found anything useful from it- nor am i aware of anyone else exploiting it. whatever, the point is I had no luck here. Out of curriosity: are you using any modded UIs? were you experiencing, either intentional or otherwise, any noticable lag? how much coin, exactly, did you have both on your person, and in your bank? Is your system substantialy overclocked? were you using the speed hack?

nother question: did you close the window between buying and selling? you say you sold back for 1s30c, but if you had sold back before you closed the window, you'd have gotten your full price back...
oh, and ofoulo...they could subscribe to every pay to play site on the internet and not go broke...its !@#$%^&* Sony...

One thing that somewhat perplexes me - if you bring up MainHUD.CharacterInfo, it displays (at least for me) 8pp all the time. This might be an error in that UI element, but you could always check.

It is a bug in the widget. It has to do with an inconsistnecy in the numbering system; some subsystems use signed numbers, some use unsigned. Some use both: the client using one and the server using another (item numbers in links is a good example of this). The 8 plat is actualy a bit flag being misinterpreted as a value. If that doesnt make any sense, just trust me, its a display bug only.

No custom UIs. And, the whole selling back for 1s30c thing was after I was experimenting, I bought one then closed and a while later went to sale. I wasn't aware that the prices changed. But, for the exploit, I left the window open.
