Well I found out this when I was working my Alche last night. I started getting angry with the buttons so i just started clicking them all...But it had about 85% chance to get it pristine every time. Not sure if it works for all classes yet.
(This is my first ever thing really. So dont be to harsh)

I think its known thing that if you just push durability constantly you will almost always get a pristine. Thing is durability increases the time to craft.

Yea true...But if you run out of power, You can always click the other icons that are like 1 mana each. So good point but the durability icon costs alot of mana

There is only 1 durability and 1 progress per tier that cost mana
Out of the 3 buttons 2 of them are mana free that increase durability but have a possible backfire on it .. (ie : progress and success chance)
You can spam the 2 keys and stay full mana the entire time your crafting or macroing.
I almost never use the mana key because "I believe" that it has some sort of underlying feature that has a backfire mechanism.. ive lost more progress and durability using that key than any other.
