Been visiting here for some time... not long.. but long enough to know what I am seeing in game has not showed up here yet.
I have add'd someone to my friends list because I see this guy almost always on. Well I notice that everytime he was in the same sector that certain other toons at his level was on at the same time. So I add'd all those toons to my friends list. After two weeks of them being on my friends list the things I have noticed.
1) 6-8 toons all the same level 2) They are always in the same area at the same time 3) All raise in levels at the same time. (35+ now) 4) They are almost always on, when one logs on.. almost always the full group logs on. One after the other 5) on the rare occasion they do log out, its one after the other 6) if your in the same area as him while he is harvesting.. you might as well go to another area.. cause he can use all toons at once to harvest in differient locations in the same zone. Talk about strip harvesting.. sheesh.
Now I can only assume two things here.
1) This person, is the same for all toons. Which if this is the case, the guy really knows his stuff about scripts, macros and the game itself. He must have one heck of computer room to handle that many toons at once. Not to mention being able to multitask like no other I have met.
2) These toons are being ran by SOE for what ever reasons.
I am no sure what to think here, out of all the forums I go to, I have not seen where (if this it is the case as #1) how and what is he using to do this.
Any comments on this? I have thought to drop him a pst and tell him to visit here and let us in on some of his secrets.. But if it is SOE.. then that would be a bad idea. Not to mention he probably wouldn't anyways. But, then again.. he could be here already.

It seems to me that some people here dont post macros they have made. They enjoy keeping it to them selves. Its really selfish but hey they pay to be here also.
The reason that I have seen (in AC) ws they dont want everyone to "camp thier spot" and now they have a hard time LVLing.
It would be nice if we had a cummunity that acually posted the findings when they find it and not just before it gets patched.

This is an exremely common trend in the EQ community, its called x-boxing (where x is a number from 2-8) where a person players 2-8 characters at once on 2-8 different computers with a keyboard and mouse switcher . (Why bother looking for a group when you ARE the group?) Also there are people (*thinks back to Mith Marr and Lineage II**) that do this type of stuff for a living.
Hope that clears some things up for you guys. ^_^

sirus has pretty much hit the nail on the head. Its really not all that complicated to do either. He'd be controling one guy while all the other follow him and have attack mode always on while targetting the main tank. This means all 5 other toons attack what ever the main guy attacks. He probably also has a simple macro on a healer toon that detects the main toons health bar and heals him accordingly.

prowling1 (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE'))): It seems to me that some people here dont post macros they have made. They enjoy keeping it to them selves. Its really selfish but hey they pay to be here also. I for myself still know some exploitable bugs and money makers and i also have some macros (the very first eq2 macro i posted here) so why i'm not sharing more? Well everything you are posting here and on similar boards will get nerfed very fast. Or do you really belive that everyone here and on similar boards can keep their mouth shut? Or do you really belive that SoE don't know about these boards and don't have access to them? Well i'm still willing to share my knowledge but only with people who can prove that they have similar knowledge like me.

here here... I dont blame you at all.... I have a spot where I farmed ?'s but dont let people in on it cause of the nerfin. Im pretty much a casual player now that RL has taken over(IE kid). But if its not posted here it is gonna be posted on some other site sooner or later, then nerf.
Im acually afraid to let anyone I dont know personally in on the farming/exploits that I may find someday =). I dont play enough to learn them anymore, so I have to grind my way to the top, Thats why I joined Tault. With the hope of getting some help on Macs and Exploits.

It would probably be easier to control the healer, and have everyone assist him.

if I knew what to look for as far as signs of a possible expoloit, id be more than happy to help. Bad enough I 3box and want to add a 4th. I used macros extensively in UO, and even memory hacked old EQ. But this new EQ, it has be baffled, its so much different.

Was my understanding that they kept everything important server side this time around to stop offset hacking. Did quite a bit of that in EQ1 here as well, but haven't been able to find anyone that's working on EQ2 that has had any kind of success with it.
Any links that ya'll might have to this sort of thing would be appreciated. Haven't used Tsearch, Compiler, and JNPExec in so long I've got an inch of dust on all of them, but would like to give it another shot with EQ2 if I could find someone whose working on it.
