Windows Xp 64 EQ2 Crafter possible fix in the near future? : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

? Anyone run the bot got it working under xp64? I get a overflow error and have tried about 50 times to get it to work.

Mally42 what are you current settings under xunleashed and how exactly are you getting the eqcrafter to work.... please explain? Perhaps my xunleashed settings are wrong? Where did you install xunleashed (x86) program files or just program files?

ravenous28 - When I get home from work I will give you more information. The last time I ran it, it worked fine. That was a few versions ago I though so unless something changed it should still work. I'll post again later tonight or tomorrow morning letting you kow if it still works for me or not. I know it at least use to work.

Confirmed works fine on my amd 64 latop. I let it run for a hour this morning with no problems.

Computer Specs:

AMD 64 3000+ mobile
1gig DDR 2700 ram
radeon 9600 mobile 64mb ram

Windows XP Home Edition (32 bit version) Service Pack 2

3rd Party Plugins:
EQ2unleashed Map Plugin (with amd fix)
EQ2crafter Plugin 2.4.0.19

3rd Party Services:
Wyvern's EQ2 Servcer 1.2.2.0

I have every single service and plugin checked and up to date.

Under Options I have checked:

Windowed, Force Redraw, Display Logo, and Use Random Filenames.

Mally you're not really adding anything of help here. We're talking about 64-bit Windows XP.

I'll try on the 64 bit side of things. I have duel boot thing going on now. Problem there is I have the last beta release of xp 64 and it does not have drivers for my wireless card and I can't find them on the manufacture's site either so I pretty much never use it. I'll pull the router out and plug it in.

Well I obtained a copy xp 64 final. Installed it... It had drivers for my wireless card. yay! But it didn't have drivers for the graphics card. Niether does the manufacture. But I went and downloaded the ati 64 bit drivers and force installed a regular radeon 9600 driver. My laptop is a wide screen which makes screen resolution a !@#$%^&* and laptop drivers are ussually pretty specific anyways. Where as on the 32 bit resolution is normally runs at 1280 x 800 I can't get it past 1024 x 768 on the 64 bit side or else my screen gets to big for the monitor. I hate laptop video drivers.

In short it didn't work. I got EQ and xunleashed running fine otherwise. Run time error 6. Sorry about that. I had tons of problems getting crap to work on my amd laptop for some reason and where as my P4 desktop has been no problem. Once I got everything working great and amd issues in general were working themselves out I wasn't even thinking of 64 bit version of windows since it just came out and all...

I wouldn't say no one cares. I would say that most people do not have a 64 bt chip From the sounds of it Wyv doesn't have the 64 bit version of Windows. I just started using it myself and still have a duel boot 32bit and 64 bit because some of my hardware doesn't even have 64 bit support yet. Personally, I'd like to see this fixed as well. But at the same time there are still ALOT of major hardware and esspecially software companies that have do not offer compatablity for 64 bit OS's yet. That being sad I wouldn't expect things to get fixed over night. Since I signed up for this service Wyv and a few other have done an outstanding job fixing bugs and coming out with new stuff...
