Why does Xunleashed scripts sometime simply stop working? When it stops working, I have to go to the Xunleashed window, click on play again for it to load back up in the EQ2 window.
Why this frustrating behavior? This program shouldn't stop working AFTER you initially authenticate. I don't see why it needs to maintain an active connection with your servers after it initially authenticates, if that's what it's doing (which seems to be the case). A number of times I have come back expecting 10 hours of harvesting, but instead have 40 collects because Xunleashed could not connect with the server (in the status window it says connecting...). This occurs even after successfully authenticating and running the scripts.
FIX THIS PROBLEM PLEASE

Aye it is very annoying and happening alot lately.
I put it down to the issues they have been having with the weather and the upgrades.
Hopefully it will get back to normal soon

Any update on this? I don't get any text in my log... The entire xunleashed in-game menu goes away and all scripts stop working. Several minutes late it will come back but it would be good to know this will be fixed in next release as it is preventing me from using scripts for an extended period of time.
Thanks

Well, the problem went away for a few days but now it is back though it is still sporadic. I've also noticed that your website seems to be very slow to respond when I'm having this issue.
The problem seems straightforward - the program is periodically sending data to you server, most likely for validation. However, your server is somewhat flakey (at least compared to eq servers) and when it can't be accessed the script suddenly halts - causing my character to die.
The devs need to be way less aggressive on the frequency of the polling or be more tolerant of an error to connect.
Here is the log, but the problem seems pretty straightforward:

i agree... this is way to lame... why the heck do you need to check so many times..... if somewone really wanted to steal your program they would... even microsoft cant protect themselves against it..... but they spend millions trying.

Its being worked on. Also chowming the program people can share but the source to use the program is something idff. With the newest XU we got rid of this problem for most everyone. Most of the time if 3.x isnt working then use 4.x or vise versa we made it like that for a reason until we finalize 4.0 .

Thanks for working on it - It is a sporadic problem - happens maybe once or twice in a 12 hour period, but if it happens during the first hour of a 7 hour sleep, we lose out on six hours. And it occurs with both versions though ver 3 seems to have it happen less often.
If you absolutely must put this in, how about you give us a function we can call to check if we currently have a good connection. If the connection goes bad, give us a 10 minute or so grace period after notificatino, so the script can have some advance notice that service may go down for awhile and can get itself to a safe spot and await recovery.
Appreciate the quick responses.

Yes it is better with ver 4, goes from happening mabe 5x a day to maybe 1 or 2x a day, but it still occurs.
Thanks for continuing to tweak it.
