This is an exploit I used to raise my ts lvl or make refines and interims for finished products in bulk.
Things needed to pull this off:
1) usb gamepad
2) an eq2 addon that let's you hit 'Enter' to react like you mouse clicked on 'Craft', 'Begin', and 'Repeat'. (Can be found at
http://www.eq2interface.com/ or any other interface addon site)
3)joytokey (can be found at
http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm)
4)a strong rubberband(s) or something of the like to hold down gamepad button.
The program joytokey lets you assign keyboard keys to your usb gamepad button (i.e. the key '1' can be assigned to the button 'triangle' on a playstation gamepad). An added feature to joytokey is it's auto-fire setting to buttons on your gamepad, but will not auto-fire without pressing and holding the button. This is where the rubberband comes into the picture. The rubberband(s) can be wrapped around gamepad buttons to hold them down.
What to do:
Plug in your usb gamepad.
Install the Interface addon as mentioned above.
The difficult part of this setup is figuring out what button number corresponds to each button on the gamepad (i.e. button 1 = triangle). You can answer this by going to:
Control Panel-->Printers And Other Hardware-->Game Controllers
Highlight the controller you are using and click on properties. You can push a button on your gamepad and the button number will light up. Write down which gamepad button goes with which button number.
Now that you got that down, open JoyTo Key.exe. The right panel is used to assign keyboard keys to buttons. Double-click on the buttons you will be using to open up another window.
Under the words 'Setting for Keyboard emulation' are 3 slots stacked on top of each other with the word 'Disabled' in each slot. Click on one of the slots and assign it a key (preferably a number corresponding to your action bar where your trade talent will be).
Because there are 3 slots, you can assign 3 keys to one button on your gamepad. I usually assign '1' and '2'.
On the bottom of the same window is the words 'Automatic Shooting'. Underneath those words is a scale. Move the tab one notch to the right. This will set the rate to 1 button push per second (1/s). The rate goes up to 30/s, but that would be overkill.
Repeat the above for one more button, but assign the key to be 'Enter'.
Run eq2.
Assign trade talents to your main hotbar that correspond to the keys being used. Use progress talents to build ts lvl or to grind out items that don't rely on quality. Use durability talents if you do care about quality, but don't care about how long the process will take.
Stock up on plenty of ingredients.
Go to a workbench. Assign ingredients. Put the rubberband(s) on to apply pressure to the gamepad buttons you are using. Lay your gamepad down nicely and do something productive like mop the kitchen floor.
