I used to program in Decal for Asherons Call and I have used ACTool for 5 years come next week.
Now I revised TS Bot (might as well say I totally rewrote it in ACTool) for EQ2 and I wrote totally from scratch 2 c++ programs to help crafters macro in EQ2. One was a recipereader and the other was a blue bar finder. In ACTool we have no hooks like XUnleashed has and no Decal API interface. So, I have to read the colors on the screen and react to them when and where I can. Hence the blue bar finder program so I can write a file with the brightest part of the blue bar in the crafting window that will allow me to react to the 4 quality levels that crafting in EQ2 has.
The above approach is very archaic but it works (use what you have to the best of your abilities is my motto). So, I would like to come into the 21st century and program my macros with something way more sophisticated such as XUnleashed.
Quite a few of the numerous users my macro has uses XUnleashed and I get asked at least once a week if not more why I do not rewrite it in XUnleashed.
Personally I am anxious to dive into XUnleashed and start whipping out some nice macros for your, errr our I hope, users.
My macro, and long thread, can be found at
