Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows of any simple /tell detection scripts. Not interested in a fishing script really, just something that will play a sound file when receiving a /tell just to alert me.
Thank you

There is a function that ultima wrote and that I use in my fishing scripts, check them out cause with that it would take but maybe 10min to write just tell detection and play sound file script. I almost did it myself but i cant find that little beep noise that u get while in swg when u get a tell

THat tell detection I posted will logout if a tell is received. But then you can easily change it to play a sound file instead.

I actually have this working for tell's in FF now using an altered version of one made for EQ2 its very basic and it goes off on the ">> " part of the tell but it works ^^. Next im trying to find out how to make it look for more than one thing ie party invites etc but one step at a time.

Is it a script or a seperate program? And most of those anon posts were mine... not all though, think my old account of over 100posts was transfered during the website changeover or something. I made the script for him with SWG I requested and that he sent me, would be nice if yours drefsab didnt work through XU...

no im afraid the one im using is just an standard vbs file that was made for EQ2 I have just alterered it to work for FF. Check the post http://www.xunleashed.com/viewtopic.php?t=10851 and see what you think, I am stuck with trying to get it to look for 2 things at once.

drafsab once you finish it it can be converted to run outside of XU veryeasily since it wont require any FFXISpecific functions. Ie just a basic log reading script.
