And probably just to eliminate competition. But jw why you said in your first post that you didnt get a chance to defend yourself, then you came back and said that you gave the gm a hard time?

Hello, i THINK got a 72 hours suspension by using flee tool for farming, i think someone had see me (i had use inv but not always)... but...
it's strange because no GM call me, i normally logout from the game, and when i re-login, after fiew hours, i got the pol message "your account is temporarily suspended".
...and yes, i have a lot of money in my card: some of you had try the same experience?

Yea by the time the GM came, you had probably logged out. And since they don't even listen to your side of the story on things like warp/speed hacking, they just simply flipped the switch and banned you.

I have almost been banned twice but managed to talk my way out of both of them
1st time - back around July 2005. I just started using a couple versions of warp hacks, didn't really know what I was doing but just playing around with them on my mule. I successfully got a mule to Jeuno in a couple minutes easily using flee/warp and before I could put up my bazaar and go to sleep for the night, I got messaged by someone and they told asked me something like "how did you move that fast!". I ignored them and they said again, "tell me where you got flee hack or I will report you". No I wasn't thinking and didn't have invis/sneak up. I replied {I don't understand any English} and went back to doing what I was doing. I priced all my items, set my mule out in bat.downs and went to take a shower before getting to bed. When I got back from the shower I happened to notice my mule wasn't in downs anymore ... it was in a castle looking room with 2 [GM] people there. One was talking to me in japanese and the other english. The english one said something along the lines of you have been caught using third party programs to give you an unfair advatage .... etc etc etc. I said "What is a third party program concidered?" ... they said "you have been caught using a flee hack and you account will be suspended if you do not inform us where you recieved it. If you help us shut it down by giving your download location we will only suspend your account 24hrs instead of perm." I replied "you're kidding me right?". The didn't even respond to that and I was booted offline and when I tried to log on again I was banned with the "call us for more info" message. I called and they told me they cannot access the character database ... contact an in game GM. I said "how can I get in game to ask them if I cannot log on?". They said sorry we cannot help you, contact a GM. I got pissed off ... called the public affairs number for the US. I told them what was happening and they said they would get back with me. About three days later my account was unlocked. go figure ^^
2nd time ... recently. I'm a whitemage ... lots of people on my server know me because I use to tele-taxi for gil back when I was like lvl 40. I haven't done it as a gil making method in a very long time because it bores me. We had a stupid little whitemage strike the other day ... well, the server did. No whm's were giving teleports because they wanted high levels to lower the cost of their teleport scrolls or pay more for teleports to high level areas. Some crazy cry baby crap ... once in a while I would notice people offer 5k + for a teleport so i would jump on that offer ... but remember I'm not part of the normal tele-taxi people .. .or the idiot strikers lol. Now we all know that someone running around in whm af gear and blessed gear kinda gives away your job so I get /tell's a lot asking for teleports. Someone offered me 500gil for a teleport because the had a leveling party waiting for them in dunes. I said ok ... I felt sorry for them lol. 20 minutes later I get another /tell because they died on the way to the dunes. At this time i was farming my spider webs for clothcrafting and I told them no, I'm busy. They kept asking and I let them have a few lines of my yelling in various swear words ... well about 30 minutes later in the middle of my spider farming ... warped to, you guessed it jail. I was brought there for "Not playing fair and being unsportsman like". I was asked to give a statement and they said my account would be suspended until the investigation was complete. I told them my story and also said "this is !@#$%^&* because I deal with unsportsman like players on a daily basis and nothing happens to them. I say no to someone begging me constantly and you want to suspend me". They then brought up the fact that my account was suspended before and this was my 2nd offense. I said "second offense! ? The last one was said to be a mistake and they took the suspension off" ... then they said because it seems like I am just having a bad day they want me to log off and take a breather. I was then logged off completely. When i tried to log back on I was let back on instantly. ... go figure ... yet again.
I don't really use many hacks nowadays. Windower and the map upgrades ... mainly because my antivirus, firewall and system monitoring software have little update notifications that remove full window mode and boot me off line ... unless I use windower.
edit -- geez I suck at spelling when I'm in a hurry.

What's the public affairs number you called? I contacted the BBB but haven't heard anything back. I got the whole runaround thing with pol support telling me to contact GM, and when I do (through a different pol id), they tell me to contact pol support because they can't discuss another pol id with me. It's all BS, I haven't been able to talk to a single person who has any idea what happened.
It was my only offense... I had no prior warnings or suspensions. It's been about 3 months now and still nothing. It'd be nice if I could get on and return some of the items I borrowed from friends.

I can't get the contact number at work since the sites are blocked as video game sites (but this one its yet lol). Under either square-enix.com there is a small link for their stock and company information. under there I found a phone number for their "media affairs" I believe is what it was. It has been a while but I do remember it was under a more corporate part of the site and not POL.com

By the chat in the playonline site you can speak to an operator... he can tell you the date of the suspension expiration, but he cannot discuss the reasons... he said to me that you can discuss by telephone.

Got suspended, had a lv70 job on my account.
Anyway, what they tell you on the phone is they sent out a letter to your house that tells you to reason for having your account banned, but they can't discuss it over the phone. They said they don't think I could get my account unbanned in any way now, seeing as when they ban, "it's pretty much final", in their words. And if you want your account to be put under further investigation, you have to reply to the letter that is sent to you.

I've been told "ban" means they deleted your account and that its under the TOS agreement. I've never read it so I won't say I saw it though ^^
I do know that its near impossible to prove you were using a third party program, unless they target your account. Even then, that is not enough evidence to convict someone of a crime. Just because they run a scan on processes running under your game (which is illegal without your concent) or see you fleeing across a wide area, doesn't mean that the information transcieved between the two points was not misread or missent ... or even lagged. Software is not perfect and cannot be used to convict someone of wrong doing unless the evidence is overwhelming. Which is the reason MMORPG's don't open lawsuits against people "damaging their online gaming" industry unless they are a major role player in that area of hacking; such as, distrobuting a hack or using it to damage their servers.
I'm sure it says something in the TOS along these lines though ... "We can terminate your membership just because we feel like it and we need not provide a reason."
--- this is a little off subject but read on if you want ---
some irony in this area. One of the people I work withs' son, got a speeding ticket for doing something like 130 in a 40. To the cop, regardless of what the radar gun said, it was obvious he was speeding. His dad, being one of our oldest engineers here at work, decided to order the skemetics for that specific model of radar gun used and research the components a little. If you have ever heard the phrase, "chain is only as strong as its weakest link" ... the same goes for electronics. If you use a lower end component (something that has a low tollerance such as a 20% resistor) it compromises your entire circuit. This guy was able to convince the judge that because the tollerance of the weakest component was so large, the gun could not be that accurate ... especially at higher speeds. His ticket was not dropped ... but lowered by the largest margin of error on the components allowed
