I thought i would post a Alchemy guide because it is one of the cheapest crafts to level. Well all i gotta say is Premium membership
REFERENCE SECTION:
Vendor-sold materials and their locations.
Raimbroy's Grocery (F-7, South San d'Oria) sells the following:
Rock Salt
Distilled Water
Olive Oil
Sage
Distilled Water is, as always, available in the taverns in the 4 main cities.
The M&P Market (H-6, Upper Jeuno) sells the following:
Chamomile
Rain Lilies and other flowers used in synths not addressed here.
Pawkrix (H-10, Lower Jeuno) sells Poison Flour.
Olaf (G-7, Bastok Metalworks) sells Bomb Ash.
Ghemi Sinterilo (G-7, Kazham) sells Kazham Peppers.
The Airship Merchants in each of the 3 main cities sell Bird Eggs for a fixed price.
The Windurst Cooking Guild (Windurst Waters, E- 8 sells many ingredients if you can't find them elsewhere, including:
Rock Salt
Honey
Kazham Peppers
Bird Egg
Fish used in the recipies can be bought at the Port Windurst Fishing Guild (C- 8 or the Salesroom in Selbina (H-9.)
Regional Merchants:
Vollbow Merchants (Sells Rock Salt and Chamomile):
Millechuca (L-9, North San d'Oria)
Lebondur (F-6, Port Windurst)
Aulavia (G-7, Bastok Mines)
Valdeaunia Merchants (Sells Sage):
Palguevion (F-6, North San d'Oria)
Zoreen (M-7, Port Windurst)
Tibelda (E-6, Bastok Mines)
Elshimo Lowlands Merchants (Sells Kazham Peppers):
Nimia (G-8, Port San d'Oria)
Fomina (D-8, Windurst Waters South)
Zoby Quhyo (J-7, Port Bastok)
Derfland Merchants (Sells Olive Oil):
Pourette (J-9, South San d'Oria)
Taraihi-Perunhi (J-10, Windurst Woods)
Belka (E-7, Port Bastok)
In addition, most of these materials and more can be found at the Alchemist's Guild. However, they are normally cheaper from other merchants, not to mention the larger supply. Cobalt Jellyfish is a good example - the Fishing Guild sells them for about 30 gil cheaper apiece, and they stock around 4 more stacks a day.

OPENING NOTES
To 'powercraft' yourself to 60, I would suggest the following two things:
- A bankroll of ~300-400k, depending on your server.
- At least one mule in every city to hold your products. Many of the items you make either do not stack or will be made in mass quantities.
Gobbiebag V or VI on the character you plan to level Alchemy on is also quite helpful, but not necessary.
Many of your synths will involve Water Crystals, so if you wish to minimize material loss from synth failures, place a few Water Jugs in your Mog House (Scamplix sells these in Rabao for under 200 gil; they're also dirt-cheap on auction.)
Unless you're 1 or 2 levels away from a recipe's cap, do yourself a favor and synth with advanced support at the guild. Some people say this lessens skillup rates - I disagree.
At the X8's (8, 18, 28 etc) you will need to turn in a test item to the guildmaster to continue skilling up. Most of them are freely available at either the Jeuno or Bastok AHs, but I've included the recipies if you want to make them yourself.
8: Animal Glue (Fire, Rabbit Hide, 2x Bone Chip, Distilled Water)
18: Poison Potion (Water, Poison Dust, Mercury)
28: Blinding Potion (Water, Sleepshroom, Poison Flour, Crying Mustard) OR (Lightning, Nebimonite, Mercury) - the second synth yields 2.
38: Firesand (Earth, 2x Bomb Ash, Sulfur) - yields 2.
48: Fire Sword (Earth, Iron Sword, Slime Oil, Firesand)
58: Hi-Potion (Water, 2x Sage, Malboro Vine, Distilled Water)
As Alchemy was not and is not my chosen craft to take to 100, I have no plans to take this guide any higher than 60. There are quite a few other fine guides on this site that can take you the next 40 levels - but those are out of the scope of this guide.
-----------------------------------------------------
PART 1 - LEVELS 1-10
Probably nothing you haven't seen before, but hey, there's only so much you can do.
0-6: Tsurara (Ice, Rock Salt, Distilled Water)
Dirt. Cheap. This will be a trend in this guide. If you have a Ninja job, go ahead and use this stuff. Otherwise, just dump it off to NPC's, as it's not really worth putting on auction.
6-10: Deodorizer (Wind, Olive Oil, Chamomile, Sage)
Another NPC dump (Who actually uses the Deodorize effect, anyway?) but with some luck you can just about break even by selling it to the guild. They only take 15 a day, though, so it may take a little while to get rid of it all.
-----------------------------------------------------
PART 2 - LEVELS 11-20
Boy, part 1 sure was easy, wasn't it? And really, 11-20 is no more difficult.
10-12: Poison Dust (Lightning, 2x Yellow Globe)
If you like, start this at 8 or 9 if you're comfortable. Save all the dust you make - it'll be used fairly soon.
12-16: Mercury (Lightning, 4x Cobalt Jellyfish)
As with the Dust, save all your results. I did this until my Dust and Mercury totals were even (around 15.4.) These combine to make...
16-18: Poison Potion (Water, Poison Dust, Mercury)
These will cap you easily, and sell well in Jeuno due to people needing them for Promyvion BCs and other special occasions. Save one for your guild test.
18-20: Echo Drops (Water, Sage, Honey, Distilled Water)
Some guides will tell you to start Silent Oil here. Don't. Echo Drops will, at worst, break even if sold in Jeuno.
-----------------------------------------------------
PART 3 - LEVELS 21-30
Before we begin here, let me make one thing perfectly clear:
If Beeswax is more than 10,000 a stack, DO NOT MAKE SILENT OIL. It will end up as a loss synth more often than not, and there are better options if you're willing to dip into cross-class synths. If you don't have your Cooking leveled to 10 or more at this point, I suggest you do that. Even on a mule, 1-10 in Cooking costs next to nothing, and you don't really need to advance them any farther or take the guild test.
20-28(Cross-class synth of Cooking 11): Sairui-Ran (Earth, Bomb Ash, Kazham Peppers, Bird Egg, Bast Parchment)
Yes, it's an 8 level gap. Yes, you will see a lot of early fails. Yes, it is overall a better choice than the Silent Oil recipies. It sells fairly quickly almost anywhere you AH it, and overall a stack of ingredients costs about as much as a single stack of Beeswax.
NOTE: If leveling Cooking is simply not an option, you can do Blinding Potions (Lightning, Nebimonite, Mercury) to 27. Or you can go the old, faithful Silent Oil route. Just don't say you weren't warned about the losses.
28-30: Eye Drops (Water, Ahriman Tears, Chamomile, Distilled Water)
Again, with the Promyvions and such, these are in higher demand. A good bridge synth to close out the 20's.
-----------------------------------------------------
PART 4 - LEVELS 31-40
These 10 levels are like April (or was it March?) - in like a lion, out like a lamb.
30-34: Artificial Lens (Fire, 2x Glass Fiber)
You can try desynthing Goblin and Moblin Masks for Fibers, but the fail rate is going to be pretty steep. I just bought 'em from the AH. Note that these do NOT stack, so either ship them to a mule for sales or later use in Prism Powders, or turn them around to the Guild if you don't have the space.
BRIDGE SYNTH: If you have Smithing to 14, do Blind Bolt Heads (Wind, Blinding Potion, Animal Glue, Bronze Ingot) for a level, then start the Lenses at 31.
34-40: Potion (Water, Lizard Tail, Sage, Distilled Water)
Ah, the joys of cheap ingredients. On my server, Lizard Tails were 300 a stack, making these synths cost next to nothing. You can AH these if you like, but you just about break-even by selling them to the guild.
-----------------------------------------------------
PART 5 - LEVELS 41-51
A continuation of the 'easy synths, cheap ingredients' theme.
40-43: Vitriol (Water, 2x Treant Bulb)
Mules come in handy for this synth, simply because you're best off buying your Bulbs outside of Bastok. They were 2k/stack there and only 1100-1200/stack in San d'Oria. But even if you pay Bastok price for them, this synth's a breeze and very easy on your pocketbook.
NOTE: Prism Powder (Light, Artificial Lens, 2x Glass Fiber) caps at 41, so if you're itching to make these, go ahead and take the Lenses you made off of your mule and do Powder from 40-41, then continue with Vitriol.
43-51: Holy Water (Light, Distilled Water)
Yup. That's it. And with prices of Light Crystals less than half what they were during the Rusty Cap days, this is a wonderfully cheap synth - which lets you get away with an 8 level gap. If crystals are less than about 3800 a stack on your server, you can profit on this recipe simply by selling it back to the guild.
BRIDGE SYNTHS: If you're not comfortable with the 8 level gap, Acid Bolt Heads (Wind, Vitriol, Animal Glue, Bronze Ingot - 14 Smithing required) or Carbon Fiber (Lightning, 4x Bomb Ash) will both cap at 45 and close the gap a little.
-----------------------------------------------------
PART 6 - LEVELS 51-60
Ah, the home stretch. Be warned, though - skillups get slow here. VERY slow. .3 skill per stack of ingredients is about average, sometimes less.
51-56: Sleeping Potion (Water, Chamomile, Sleepshroom, Poison Flour)
For me, at least, Cermet Chunks were out of the question. If you have a multitude of cheap Magic Pot Shards on your server, then by all means take that path instead. For the rest of us, though, this is a fairly easy recipe that sells moderately quickly. The only problem is the trips to Jeuno to get the non-stackable Poison Flour. Once you hit 53 or so, I suggest taking all of your ingredients there and synthing in front of the Flour merchant.
BRIDGE SYNTH: For those of you with Smithing 14, Holy Bolt Heads (Wind, 2x Holy Water, Bronze Ingot) are a great way to expand your profit on the Holy Water while lessening the total number of synths on loss items like Sleeping Potions or Cermet Chunks.
56-60: Hi-Potion (Water, 2x Sage, Malboro Vine, Distilled Water)
You'll make a lot of these. A LOT a lot. Thankfully, they seem to be in a perpetual state of high demand. Put 7 on every mule's auction slots and watch the (small, but good relative to the level) profit roll in.
