[FFXI] Alchemy LV0-78! : FFXI General Discussions

This guide is the way I went with alchemy. I forgot how much gil I used but I think around 500-700k not counting the gil I got back!! but I was power lvling it . You might use less gil if you sell all the stuff back. Maybe 300k. Ok so here goes.

Alchemy 0-6 Tsurara

Note: Sell this crap to npc.

Alchemy 6-12 Poison Dust
Lightning Crystal
2x Yellow Globe
Note: Save for for Poison Potion. If your a fisher, go fish yellow globe!

Alchemy 12-16 Mercury
Lightning Crystal
4x Cobalt Jellyfish
Note: Save for Poison Potion. If your fisher, go fish cobalt jellyfish if your patience.

Alchemy 12-18 Poison Potion
Poison Dust
Mercury
Note: Sell at Jeuno AH, People need this when they fight Avatars so they sell ok.

Alchemy 18-20 Echo Drops

Note: Send to jeuno mule and sell them.

Alchemy 20-24 Silent Oil #1 (4 oils / craft)
2x Beeswax
Slime Oil
Note: If you have Thf go farm it. These sell super fast at Jeuno AH, will profit if the item is farmed.

Alchemy 24-29 Silent Oil #2 (2 oils / craft)
2x Beeswax
Olive Oil
Note: If you have Thf go farm it. These sell super fast at Jeuno AH, will profit if the item is farmed. Buy Olive oil, its cheap!

Alchemy 29-30 Artificial Lens
Fire Crystal
Glass Fiber x2
Note: MAKE GLASS FIBER!! Lighting crystals + goblin masks. You will have fail a lot of times, but it is way way way cheaper then buying them at AH. Save for Prism Powder if you want.

Alchemy 30-34 Potion

Note: Sell to AH or use it yourself.

Alchemy 34-43 Vitriol
Water Crystals
2x Treant Bulb
Note: I think this is hella cheap. Sell the Vitriol to NPC.

Alchemy 43-51 Holy Water

Note: Also hella cheap. Sell item to NPC.

Alchemy 51-53 Sleeping Potion

1xPoison Flour
1xSleepshroom
Note: If you were planing to make Cermet go shot yourself. Cermet will cost you a ton of gil. I did this, this crap sells super slow. Sell it at jeuno, underprice it like hell if you want to get reed of it.

Alchemy 53-61 Glass fiber
Fire Crystals
8xFlint Stone
Note: This one is kinda painful, but is'nt that expensive. Use the glass fiber to do w/e you want. I used it to make Prism Powder.

Alchemy 61-62 Venom Dust
Lightning Crystal
2xOgre Eel
Note: Fish orge eel if you want or just buy em. Save for Venom Potion.

Alchemy 62-68 Venom Potion

1xVenom Dust

Note: Farm mercury at Eldieme Necropolis killing Gazar or just buy em. Venom potion sells slower then Poison potion so you might want to underprice em.

Alchemy 68-72 Paralysis Dust (2 / craft !!!)

Note: Its kind of expensive.. But its all worth it! The fish sells for 3k at my server so I break even on other craft. Save for later! MUST SAVE MUST SAVE! You can also fish this in qufim, but need high lv fishing.

DO NOT MAKE THIS!!!! It only makes 1 dust. And the Puffball cost 20k / stack. This thing is a damn rip off!

Note: This sells at Jeuno AH for 20k on my server so I think I broked even.

Buying items from NPC helps a lot!

This is not for the poor it takes alot of money as he stated but i used his guide and went from 0-70 in 2 days.....

how much gil does it take 0-70?

I got my alchemy to 50 and then I quit, because making the glass fiber with the 8 Flint Stones is painful. So much running back and forth since it is an 8 Item synth...

Don't make Glass Fiber, make Cermet Chunks. It's nice profit and you won't have to mess with all those flint stones.

Oh come on, it's not that bad with 50 slots. You don't even need to zone to buy more. I use thf sub for flee to speed things up. You could fit 40 stacks of flints and 5 or 6 stacks of crystals. I did that upto lvl 58 now. I also have mules by the flints from other towns and send them over.

I insist! Cermet Chunks are FAR better.

Cermat Chunk might be better, depends on your server, but if you don't have much gil you will not be able to lv it fast since they are pricy and you'll need to sell it before you can craft agian. But if you have the money then go with Cermat.
