Hmm.. i thought this NM was easy... no?

1. Clear the area.
2. 2 Nin tank Feeler,1 whm Assigned to keep 2 Nin alive.
3. Another Tank or 2 with alliance or PT, to kill adds, and Executioners.
4. When HQ pop, Finish off feeler and adds.
5. Kill HQ. End.

Hmm.. i thought this NM was easy... no?

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Yes, when you have the correct balanced alliance.

This method works when all you have is a mass of BLMs and practically nothing else.

We had two RDM/NIN, a NIN/WAR, a BRD/BST, a BRD/WHM, a SMN/WHM and a WHM/SMN. All the rest BLMs.

You can go nuke crazy and slaughter everything as it pops, but with 4 min respawn of "native" antillions and 16 Executioners spawned in one of our runs, you're going to run out of MP.

And when that happens things are going to be not funny.

This way you can nuke > zone to shed hate > Aspir the two goblins that spawn right on the other side > nuke again.

It is a cookie cutter way to do this NM when the majority of jobs that show up are BLMs.

It also ensures that you kill really really quick and hassle free (so quick that in several runs the Alastor would give us chain #4).

The first two or three times you do this you might want to do it the exciting way, but I did 45 runs (yes, 45) this weekend. 16 on friday night and 29 on saturday evening/night.

This includes a fight with a JP ls that kept wiping to it and decided that the best way to win this NM was to steal our Alastor as it popped.

We felt the moral obligation to CFH on 5 of their Alastors once they learned our strategy and started to pop it successfully. It delayed the "event" but was very gratifying.

Hmmm... i did this with 17 people, including myself, as ranger.

Setup was...

2 Nin
3 Blm
3 Rdm
2 Sam
2 Rng
3 Whm
1 Pld
1 War

Because all i need to do is just shooting the antlions, i didn't really pay attention to the strat being discussed.

And.. as you have mentioned, since the spawning is tp based, use a Nin tank, and the problem is solved.>.>.

I did this for quite a number of times recently too, and i don't recall it being this difficult....

he is easy to kill on top of the question marks marks without any aggro.

Ive done this quite a few times and alastor does not pop yellow, any CoP force pop NM always pops claimed to the person who traded, this was part of the NM code they added to eliminate NM stealing. If you are running away for some unknown reason you can lose hate and it will turn yellow abd you will have someone take, because he is easy to kill on top of the question marks marks without any aggro.
