I recently came accross a spark weapon and noticed it said you can put a battery in them. When I looked at the AH I found they were selling for enormous amounts per battery. It was like 15K Gil for 1 and for a stack of 99 it was around 70-80k. So my question is do they last long? Also is it worth it to buy it.

Thanks

they do add some damage. i believe about 20 points more and each battery is used upon hitting the mob. so no their not worth it, unless you have a few million gil

These things seem to have dissappeared. I used to see a lot of them on the AH when I first began playing, and the prices were high but not so ridiculous as they are now. My guess is this, and I don't have the strat guide in front of me to check so i could be wrong, but here goes . . .

This is a fairly difficult item to craft either because high level of crafting is required or because the items used in crafting it are very rare. When the PS2 version first came out, crafters who had the PC version of the game had made many of these but were now too high level to have any use for them. New players got to the levels where these weapons were available to them and began buying batteries like hotcakes because with the battery equipped those weapons became very good for their level. now the high levels aren't making them any more as they are crafting at higher skill levels, and not enough new folks have started making them yet to keep up with the demand level now.

Sounds good, anyway.

Thea weapons are easy to obtain, even I know this, its the damn batteries that are the problem, I decided to just use RDM EnThunder spell, lasts longer and works on ANY weapon :D
