can macros work and bots work for PS2? : FFXI General Discussions

hi. im like a total newb, but i just wanted to know if the tault.com Macros/Exploits section has things that work for PS2 as well as computer.

I just want to know this cuz i dont wanna waste $20 buying the premium membership, and nothing works for my PS2 version

PS2 is inferior, dont give me these "it doesent matter" bullshyte PS2 sucks for MMORPG, period..only reason they made it for ps2 is cus its a FInal Fantasy..thats it....and to answer your question, yes you COULD do it, but you would go way out of your way

The macros and bots you find on web sites will NOT work on the PS2. Reason being, it's a totally different platform and the coding is way off. So there's little to none of programmers whocan actually make a working program just to bot for a game. So the premium membership would not benefit you, I am sorry.

As for being inferior to the PC. Eh, whatever floats your boat. If it's all you got, then it's better than nothing. I personally enjoyed the PS2 version during beta test.

Katsu, not sure why you are so inflammatory toward the PS2 since the FF series would have died without it and nearly did anyway (Square was pretty close to going under before Enix helped them out). And I've played both versions and combat is MUCH more fluid with the PS2 controller than with a keyboard. Beyond that I'll agree the PC version is superior, but the game's as much fun either way. Oh and by the way, I'd never copy your "Cactar", because there's no such thing. It's a CACTUAR. Wouldn't be so annoying if you didn't call attention to your spelling error by posting it at the bottom of everything . . .

i think the ps2 is better suited for playing final fantasy XI for many reasons dude.first of all for the PC version to be superior you would have to have a darn good computer( im talking like a custom built thats well 1round the 3,000 dollar mark) plus thhink of installation and updates. for pc the update has to be split in 2 parts....HA HA HA. also for PC it takes 4 freakin disks WTF. PS2 only took 2 and the newest update is in one chunk...hehehe so i think PS2 is more efficient.

I have ps2 version. Does nebody know where i can download a free copy of the computer version, id just use my acount from ps2. Would that work?

LMFAO sry but i have a comp i built for only 800 bucks and it plays FFXI great at 1024 x 768 plus i have a ps2 > usb converter so i play with great control and great graphics ^^ =P to that!

Use something like a Stream Chaser or Routine Chaser controller and make your own macros for them.

My daughter & I each play on PC but my son & son-in-law have PS2, there is a keyboard available that they swear by. So it is possible to use the macros etc.. They also say getting online & downloading updates is much faster on PS2 than PC. Rara
