Crafting made harder? : FFXI General Discussions

I've have never seen it this hard to raise a crafting skill from 50 to 60 and I have several crafts at 60 or higher. I think they really increased the difficulty with this last update.

Possibly. I've been lvling goldsmithing and smithing subs for bonecraft since yesterday, in the 30-40 range the first and in the 40-50 range the second.

I noticed no difference throughout them, the usual 0.5/stack over time.

IF your talking about goldsmithing from 50-60, its always been a very big pain in the !@#$%^&*. I stopped at 63 GS, cause it was taking days of expensive crafts to only get 0.1 skillup.

No I was talking about cooking actually. Even after I was within 5 lvls of the cap I still had a run of 12 successful synths resulting in no skill. Needless to say I stopped short of 60 by 3 lvls and just sold the melon pies to an npc out of disgust.
