Yet another newb askin yet another newbie question but bare with me heh. Okay i just started playing FFXI bout 4 days ago,(enjoying every minute btw ), and im getting to the point where i can start a sub job. My main job is a MNK and my question is what should my sub job be? I was going to go with a Whm cuz of the fact ya can heal and still deal some serious dmg as a mnk. Yet ppl in game say this is the wrong path to take and id never get grped. Any one got any suggestions? Also do ppl not check the merchants? I made 10k in like a day (i know that 10k isnt crap but to a lvl 5 its awsome), from just buying items from a merchant and selling them in the AH. Take the spell fire for example. It can be bought in San d'Oria for 957gil and be sold in the AH for 1.4k. sure only a 443 gil profit but its a profit and there everywhere from Hatchets to Copper ore, with enough time ya can make some spending money without having to farm for hours, but anyways any advice would be helpful.

in regards to people not checking the merchants, you are absolutely correct. after awhile you stop giving a sh1t that you can save 400 gil by making the trip to the merchants. having walked that path to the merchants shop a million and 2 times, you give up and buy everything (mostly) directly from the AH allowing newbies such as yourself to make money off us. its like crafting, its cheaper to make all your ingredients yourself (such as ingots and sheets...and whatever) but its not worth the time to do so.
