I have a few questions!

1. What is the importance of fame?

2. Where can I view my fame?

3. How do I raise my fame in San d"oria?

Input is greatly appreciated!

Jackowsk

If you were a premium member you could read one of the fame guides, now however you can't.

1. fame helps you buy more items, get more quests, get better prices for the items you buy.
2. You can talk to certain NPCs in every city and they will give you a response based on your fame.
3. Do quests in sandoria

thats about all i can tell you without being yelled at for giving too much info

fame vastly controls the price some items go for in the auction house. Most of the expensive items can be easily quested but I'm guessing the reason people buy them is because they are too lazy to get the fame. All the teleport scroll literally took me about 4 hours total time farming and gather items and doing quests to get. These scrolls sell for a total of about 1.2mil on my server if you were to buy all of them at once.

If you start working on fame from the begining; you will have no problems questing the items when you are ready to use them.

the premium upgrade is worth it too by the way *hint*hint*

Really? I thought the price of items at the Auction House was set by the people who sell those items there. However, I know fame may lower the prices of some items sold by vendors within the shops.

yes people do set the prices for the auction house but fame rank needed has a lot to do with how much they set their prices for. Look up the price of a tele-dem scroll (one of the easiest whm quests) and look up the price of tele-vahzl. A pt of lvl 40's can do both these quests with minimal difficulty. The only difference is fame needed to get the quests.

The same goes for all the nin scrolls and most of the blm scrolls. These quests are all very easy to do ... even the Sleepga II scroll is easy with a full pt around 60+. The thing with the sleepga II scroll is it requires multipul different quests to be done in order and quite a bit of fame to get the last couple quests.

What I was saying was something that you need rank7+ fame will sell for a lot more than something that is rank 3 fame ... most of the time.

no link but you might want to trade in some crystals 90% of the time when you can not access a mission it is because you have to turn in crystals after nearly every mission to have enought points to do next mission

yeah, go under your menu, then profile. The line that is under your Nation name and homepoint location is your mission points line or whatever. Depending on what the mission is, each mission needs a different amount of rank points.

As Chris already pointed out, you can trade crystals to the signet guards to get rank points. You can trade them anywhere your country guards are located that give signet or to the signet guards in jeuno. Well as far as I know you can trade them to any signet guard in jeuno ... i rarely ever leave Ru'Lude Gardens because of all the stupidity spam in lower jeuno. So I always would trade crystals to that signet guard by the zone and promy-enm person

Your other option, if you cannot afford crystals to get more rank points is you can repeat any other quests that the guard is giving you. i.e. in bastok you can repeat the Quadav Fetish quest and a couple others. They are rank 1-3 missions that you can do for points even at rank 9.
