Hey guys,
Did some XUfishin' today now that FFXIservice is patched and I just wanted to pass along what I found.

Started fishing on Darksday. Proggy works like a charm once again, big gratz to XU staff on that one... job well done. Anyway, continued thru Firesday, again no problems.

Got into Earthsday, started getting "Cannot use that command at this time" messages. Apparently fatigue was setting in and 2 seconds was no longer enough time for recast. By the end of Earthsday I was unable to fish up anything, not rusties, not crappy fish, not copper rings, .... nothing, zilch, zero, zip, and nada.

So, in preparation for Watersday, I logged out to my mules and did some stuff I had been waiting to do. Log back in and start to fish...

50+ No bites in a row.
Entire Watersday.... not a single bite.
I tried logging out/back in. I tried zoning. No effect. Still only no bites.

Now I am posting here and taking a 1/2 hr. break or so. Gonna log back in after I finish this and try to fish again.

I hope we can find a way to loophole this fatigue crap or it isn't going to matter how killer your bot is... you won't be able to fish up a thing after a few "days" of fishing.

bai

Update:

It's been well over an hour since I started getting "Fatigued."

Even with multiple log off/ log on, zone changes, and waiting this long for fatigue to naturally wear off, it has not worked.

Still am getting delayed casting timer and getting the awful "You didn't catch anything" everytime I cast a line.

Good grief this sucks lol. Bot works, but you can't fish anything.

You can still only catch 200 fish per JP day.

I thought I saw somewhere that number had been reduced. After my experience today, I think it is.

I used to fish overnight without getting "fatigued" now I fished for just about 2 hours or so and I was "fatigued."

Here is some data after 2 Fishing sessions for Gigant Squid.

My fishing level is 100.

1st Session - 2hr, 15min - no fatigue, caught 58 squid
2nd Session - 3hr, 30 min - no fatigue, caught 58 squid

Min Squid stamina value - 1213
Max Squid stamina value - 1304

Based on the last known "stable" Squid stamina value of 1260, looks like the values range between -3.8% and +3.5%.

Can't remember which message board exactly I read this from, but so far it is a very reliable analysys:

Based on how many fishes you catch each day,

Less than 50 fishes : /wait (recast) time will be 2 sec.
Between 50 and 150: /wait (recast) time will be 4 sec.
Over 150: /wait (recast) time will be 6 secs.

And you will still catch nothing after you get 200 fishes

so , if 200 fish per IRL day , 575 for one bastore bream at npc with no full fame a windurst x200 = 115 000 gils per day :)

I think new fatigue system is dependent on your job lvl as well. I tried to fish with 75 jobs and had been able to obtain about 20-30 more sole than as if i go as lvl1. also total weight is caped that means u wont be able to catch 200 if u r going for heavy fish like squid, breams and such. SE prbly did this to discourage lvl1 fishing char.

20-30 fishes is not significant enough.
A level 1 should be able to catch 10 black sole a day, a level 75 should be able to catch 150.

Then it'd work, less than 30% is... !@#$%^&*.

Well, I am not sure if this was because I passed the JP reset or what. But I had been out for a while and had my bot running. Then when I got back I saw the "Didn't catch anything". So I warped to Jeuno and took the airship to Windy because my fishing was capped and I needed to go to the Fishing Guild to get next rank. Well, low and behold I decided to fish in Windy, and what happened? I was catching fish. This is about 10 minutes after I reached the max in Sandy. So, this is my theory. Maybe you reach a max of fish in a certain area? I notice people who post fatigue always try to go back to the same area to fish. Can someone confirm this for me? I am going to run a test today. See if tonight when I reach max in sandy if I can go to Windy and catch more moats. Maybe the way to beat the fatigue is to find 2 areas with the fish you are aiming for and then switch after fatigued in the first area. Anyway, I am going to check it out again today.

After all, SE did state in one of their posts that if your char gets fatigued then try to move to another area. lol, could this have been under our noses the whole time?
