Isnt it possible for someone to make a AH bot where it keeps bidding a set amount of gil on a item and the second the item is put on auction, it is bought?
Like, let me put it this way.
Run pol,
Run FFXI,
Go to a AH,
Select a item (Example: Kraken Club)
Run the bot and set it at 1 mil
Some lucky terd gets the k club drop from the BCNM.
The lucky terd places it on the ah for a mil intending to sell and buy it a bit
The lucky terd gets unlucky as your bot keeps bidding and bids 1 mil on the K Club and you get it.
Can someone make this?

it would be pretty simple, just a combination of key strokes. I cant remember the sequence to bid though, its been a long time since I've played FFXI. Ill try to log onto my brothers account sometime today and check it out.

I was just thinking about asking for this ^^; would be pretty nice considering I hate when people try to look cool on the AH like that and I'd get a K/C xD

It wouldn't be a very complicated bot to make, but the chances of making much money with it are slim.

I would be interested in a Auction House bot too, though I know next to nothing about how to create my own. I think there used to be one out there on the net, but I think its either old, or just broken now.

It would be better if instead of bidding a set amount on an item, it started at a given amount and incremented each bid by one gil until successful. It would stop once x amount of items have been purchased.
On Shiva, there's only been 12 K.clubs sold since Sept 2004 - kind of a waste of a script! On the other hand, there's lots of lesser items that peope always undercut on to try to make a fast gil, I can make more gil faster off those!!

As I can't see if the script is actually there/working, I would suggest that if someone were to write this it would first input the amount and then verify the amount via memread. This way you don't end up over bidding on an item. The main example I can think of right now is the moat carp buying bots in sandaoria. Instead of (left)x3 (up)x2 the computer lags out and u end up bidding 20,000 instead of 2,000 for a stack of fish.

Thanks Tault_, but I didn't see any working AH bots or exploits in that premium section either.

thats a simple bot u could make with an AC tool lol.
Plus it would be totally useless.
who would put something on AH for a mil, just to loose money from tax?

People do it all the time, even in jeuno! Water crystals on Shiva are down to under 1k a stack, but they're still needed for synths. With 50+ stacks on the AH, the lower I can buy them for the greater the profit margin in the finished product. This applies equally across the board from the low end synths up to the high gil items.
Good point on the verify slapnutz! There's times I really wish we could input numbers into that box, the present method is like sending text messages from the old text pagers!! Seems a bit off to have 104 keys on the keyboard and only use about 20 of them
