What difference does it make?
They work.

I may as well ask now, what is your language of choice? I'm just curious.

language of choice is c++/ASM by far.
I mainly use c++ , but ASM, when I need to read memory directly from apps, its alot easier to use ASM to push/pop registers and to call in game functions directly.

.NET (C# and VB) are very accessible if you're interested in writing stuff. C++/asm is better for sophisticated memory manipulation, but to be honest any language that can use the windows API can do everything necessary.
As for individual programs, it could be anything, and is nothing to do with you unless they're open source.
I'm sure with sufficient work (adding an extra 'command' or two) it could be added into brainfuck if people really wanted.
Personally I'm a .NET fan, C++ memory management is too much like work.

If you use Angryundead's Java interface, you can easily program FFXI in Java.
I recommend C++ and .NET though, as there are more resources for you to use (this site and more) if you come to any problems regarding the code. Java isn't supported by any other sites other than the FFACE site, so programming in that language is somewhat limited to how much you can figure out on your own.

is anyone else noting a lot more "no catch messages"? As soon as i went from 49 to 50 using consumables in sandoria, i've started getting tons of "no bite" messages or whatever.

jarf (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE'))): is anyone else noting a lot more "no catch messages"? As soon as i went from 49 to 50 using consumables in sandoria, i've started getting tons of "no bite" messages or whatever.
That has nothing to do with this topic, Jarf.... Please post in the bot's support thread that you're using...
