How can i make gil? : FFXI General Discussions

Hey guys, i play on the seraph server.

I currently need like 100k to buy amour.
Is there any easy ways i can get some gil? im level DRK32/WAR16

we have guides on how to make gil in the premium section, some easy some not. purchase a premium really you will not be dissapointed at all with some of the stuff we have in here. sure you can ask for help here but really they can not give you as much information and if someone posts one of our guides its bannable for releasing premium information. also you cant ask for more in depth stuff as it may be concidered begging

I would pay for the premium service, but i dont have a credit card i could use anymore. Im just asking for general information like, farming places etc.

discover a good exploit and post it up. most of the exploits have been released so far but with this new expansion TONS of them have opened up so we will be getting a few more members ^.^

I got access to alot of cool things that I had no idea existed.

what ya farm is what area ya like teh most, if you like windurst you can farm bee chips / spini / crawler threads at that level. or go to tahrongi canyon with ranger subjob and farm crystals, tehy sell so fast its not eeven funny , its basically farm 5-15k a element (sometimes 3 drop)

Even at 37, crystals are still a primary source of income for me. Farming random stacks of items (research them) helps too. It's a slow process but as DRK you should be able to pace pretty well and make some good scratch.

Tons of stuff on the net about NM's that you can farm for drops too.

Im from the bastok area, the thing about NMs, is you would probibly have to spend your whole day killing them... I have a DRK/WAR and i dont think it would be good for farming NMs.

I normaly go to Marshlands to farm beastmens blood. they are worth 100k a stack. Ive been abit unlucky with farming, I was just wondering if there was a really easy spot to farm at my level.

Camping spook in king ramps tome is good way to make a fast 100k+ since just about any level can pretty much kill it. All you need is luck really lol.

You could farm beehive chips in south gustaberg too i guess. Beehive chips are like 20k a stack of my server and you could have your gil in a couple hours maybe.

sometimes the easiest items to get, though somewhat low in gil on their own, sell very well and add up quickly. Lizard skins, beehive chips, fish moat carps ... whatever it is it takes time. Gil will not just drop itself in your lap. Granted you may get lucky and claim/kill a high gil NM ... but I find the farming methods much more productive in the long run

I use to make 50-100k a night easily fishing moat carps, while waiting for an exp pt invite back when I was level 25-30ish and I needed to buy Seer's set items for my mages and erase for whm

Yeah exactly if most people wouldnt worry about NM's 24/7 they wouldnt have to worry about getting a few gil here and there because farming normally is a steady way to make money.

Try some garrisons!

Yeah but you gonna have to farm up the item in order to do the garrison and then get some people together to do it with you.

the triggers for garrison isnt hard to get, and I recomend joining a linkshell that does garrison.

Triggers only drop off certain mobs, and only takes about 10mins to get 3. But, over all garrisons are great way to make money at lower levels... Even at higher levels they are great way lol, and most the garrisons start at level 20 cap.

Garrisons are also based off of number ppl in your party. Goes by 1-6 7-11 12-17 and 18. With full 18 ppl you get 3x the amount of NPCs to help but also alot more mobs. I rather do it with 17 ppl then 18, and alot of garrisons has been done with 6 ppl. So, you really dont need alot if you know what you are doing.
