Download a hex editor, find the zone list in your folders and open that up (Theres a post around here somewhere listing it). Edit the name of the mob you want to claim so it's in caps.
Get the blank .dat, and put that in the spot of other mobs in the area. (also found here) Run NPC.exe so you have a 2 second headstart on a pop. Once you see it pop on npc.exe, hit targetnpc, count to 1.5, and voke it.
Just as effective, but you have to be there manually.

Is there a way to keep NPC window on top with ffxi so you dont have to minimize and look at the list, then click back on ffxi on taskbar, then voke?^^ im using windower3.22 fullscreen, with alt+tilde to minimize, not having ffxi small and windowed (>< why play without fullscreen!?) thx !

Why play without fulscreen? Because when you play to win, you sacrifice the things like pretty graphics so you can be the fastest client at that NM camp or whatever. Most people will try to get the best FPS they can to insure they see the pop first. This means slashing the resolution and level of detail. This isnt to say that my computer is real sluggish when at full, ive got a nice dual-core pc with plenty to run FFXI and then some, but you can always make it faster.
Also Im just so used to having my FFXI window just big enough to also fit POS, Launchpad, MrArgus, FleeTool, and NPC, snuggly around the screen. That is until I go buy the adapter I need to plug my old monitor up to my computers 2nd monitor port. Dual Monitors FTW!
