Well you are in a bad situation find a friend who has it and try it out there. Or go to a gaming cafe they have alot of mmorpgs there to try out.

This game can be fun if you are a mmorpg fan, but if you prefer the type of game where you press a button as fast as you can, then you will be bored out of your mind. This game requires time, strategy, and money.

Find {fun} in this game greatly depends on your taste I'm afraid.
If you love Diablo then find somewhere else.
As it has been stated before in many different posts and also based in my own experience I can tell that the game difficulty lvl is quite high. And the fact that there's a whole underground "industry" making profit from virtual currency/items doesn't make it any easier.
Everything in this game takes truckloads of time, patience and effort.
As a sidenote, if you are an occasional player and you can't spare much time to it, just try other titles. On average you are going to spend more than 30% of your online time trying to "make a living" for your little online avatar. Progress and development come at a very slow pace too.
On the other hand, if you have the time and the will, you'll be rewarded by several different but interweaved storylines that I find myself quite charming, so many quests/missions that you'll find yourself wondering (as I do after two years) if you will ever be able to do them all, an endgame that even with all the rants I read here and there is quite entertaining, a real effort towards content development that happens literally in front of your eyes (I played UO, Tibia, DAoC, EVE and AO before FFXI and I never witnessed so much content development before) and a vast and diverse community, due to the fact that there's no separate servers for EU, NA and JP players.
For me, after 20 years of roleplaying and 6 years of MMORPGs this if definitely the best one so far.

Don't want to make this game sound bad, but the first thing you need to understand is you WILL throw your time away. However as stated before, if you like MMORPGs you WILL enjoy this. It is the best one out there in many ways. I would recommend it if you know that you'll have a lot of time on your hands. Not to insult anyone on this game about having no life but basically, yeah a lot of time goes into it. Awsome graphics, some good story lines, incredible battles at higher lvls, and a great way of feeling achievment. Happy choosing ^^ and remember:
Life is like a box of chocolates, that is of course, unless your allergic to them.
