Making gil in FFXI on lower lvls. : FFXI General Discussions

Hello. This is my first guide here so please be good for me
My english isn`t too good but i hope You will all understand what I`m going to say

Final Fantasy XI is a great game, i really love it. I`m sure You all enjoy playing it But there`s a little problem... How to make money in the game?
My friend has Emp hairping and leaping boots... gosh I`m so jealus. I want them too! But what to do? On my server (Ramuh) Emp pin is about 800k and leaping boots are about 600k. So how I`m lvl 30, how i can afford all of it?
Telling the truth it`s not hard - more, it`s easy. OK, let`s see HOW easy it is.

For those lvls You don`t really need that much money. I know that astral rings are for 10 and leaping boots for 7, but You don`t really need them here. To afford all good gear You simply farm the crystal from monsters and sell them on AH. Sell everything if You don`t need it. Even for 200gil.
Farm the crystals in gustaberg or saruta, some zone that is close to Your home nation. That`s all. You don`t need 5mil gil now

BCNM

This is fun The 20ish are like paradise beacuse You can do a BCNM now. You should have about 40-60 BS (Beastmen`s Seal). That`s 2 or 3 BCNM20. Do NOT go fight the BCNM with bats (they drop astral ring) it`s a waste of time. The drop rate is so bad, that i`m gonna win on lottery sooner than You get Your astral. Go to the others All of them drops some of Manequin parts. Hands and Body are best. Hands go for 300k and body for about 400k on Ramuh. So it`s a good deal The Manequin body is a 100% of BCNM named Grove Guardians in Waughroon Shrine (Palbrough mines) but watch out, beacuse this is HARD fight. You can and You will die here. Best PT is 3xMNK for this. Manequin hands are droped from BCNM named Charming Trio in Balga's Dais (Giddeus) - this is a easy fight, couple og hi-potions, regen drinks, refresh drinks and hi-ether will do the job, or You can 2h it . You can also get Manequin head from this BCNM and it`s 150k on Ramuh. So if Your lucky You will get 500k! from 5mins fight! Nice, isn`t it ? I sugest leave the money for good equip at lvl 30+. Ah BTW, BCNM30 aren`t worth the orbs, or the time.
The BS will be gone. So You will ask how to farm them.
They are droped from ANY mob that give exp. So the best way is to lvl Your low-lvl job fighting Easy-Prey monsters. It will take some time but it`s worth it.
Other way to get BS is lvl BST. Beacuse when You playing BST You play solo all the drops are Yours. Including BSs
There`s also another good way to farm them but You must have Chains of Promathia expansion pack. Simply go to any Promyvion with Your lvl30job and fight mobs. You can get some animas and BSs. Fight only on first floor, beacouse the mobs there are indentifyed as Easy-prey.
Those are three best ways to farm seals.

Farming

So Your lvl30 and want to farm something. Best thing for farm are Beehive Chips droped from Maneating Hornets all around the Vanadiel.
Normally You will be getting about 1-1,5 stack per hour. This isn`t so good. So, i sugest You lvl THF to 15. With Treasure Hunter i`m able to get about 4-5stack of Beehive Chips in hour and about stack of honey. That makes me richer for about 40k per hour. Sound really good. Farm 3h a day for 5 days and You have 500k+! Farming hornets is really nice job. No stressm or anything. Just go and kill. And they won`t hurt You at30

Camping NMs

Uh... i don`t really like that way of making money... It`s preaty HARD, REALLY HARD on that lvl. You can`t camp anything good, and things You can, are overcamped by gillserers :/ That suck. But if You really want to, arm Yourself in patience and some thing for stress Go camp Leaping lizzy in south gustaberg. If You will be lucky maybe You`ll get drop at 2-3 try.
Another interesting monster is Spook. It`s not a NM but it drop Traveler`s Mantle that cost 100k on my server. He pops 2-3 times for hour so go to King Ran Tomb, and camp it. It pops from 21-4 game time. There WILL be alot of other ppl there. If You wanna claim it use Provoke or Charm. Otherwise don`t waste Your time. You must be really fast to claim it, but it`s allways a fun Other mobs/NMs aren`t too interesting on this lvl.

After lvl30 You should know Your own way to make money.
I didn`t mentioned here about chocobo digging/mining/crafting etc. becaause it`s really waste of time on this lvl. Better farm hornets
Please notice that price of those items can be different on Your server. It all depends on server economy and amount of gillselers
If You hit 40 do BCNM40, they are really nice and also good drops.
