Mother Globe : FFXI General Discussions

Leading a bunch of people who lack common sense is not fun... If you lead a Sky LS out there, like I do, then you know exactly how I feel when I mention the word: Mother Globe

That is so far the only thing my LS has ever had in Sky at all since we started doing it together several months ago...

Yes, today we wiped twice, and then were forced to give up. But this time we had an excuse.

It was up, and on the way over there, 5/18 people disconnect, then 1 decides to not think and casts sneak next to an Aura Pot (Come on!!) and get himself and another person killed. So we're basically fighting this as 11 people, no biggy... Hmmm, here was today's problem, and $5 says you'll all laugh... Our setup for this fight was: BLM RDM RDM PLD PLD NIN THF RNG MNK SAM THF

We do have more mages, but unfortunately for us, 2 died, 2 disconnected...

In total, we've probably only managed to kill this NM maybe 14-16 times out of 30-40+ tries (as in wiping and trying again).

We've killed every damn God in Sky over at least 50 times each (several people bought Seiryu triggers for the LS since they're rich from crafting, and we only killed that one like 30ish times). So it's not skill we're lacking, that I'm 100% sure of... The problem seems to be our strategy, which brings me to my question...

If anyone out there would be interested in sharing a Mother Globe Strategy with me and the community, I would appreciate it greatly...

Because this is the only damn thing in Sky we have trouble with, and I was to be the best leader I can be and figure out a way for us to beat this bastard. I've thought of 10 different strategies, only 1 seemed to work and it only worked like 1/3 the time, which wasn't good enough...

So if anyone would like to share, please do... This stupid NM makes me want to hurt someone ><
