MrArgus-Tweaked
Ok, so my friend and I have basically solo'd the CoP storyline using just POS and MrArgus (with PC and NPC), BUT we had a few drawbacks that I fixed mainly in POS, but some in MrArgus as well. I'll go into brief details with how we did it and how you can too XD!
Please forgive my lack of memory, I don't remember mission numbers and hopefully everything is in order.
Chapter 1 was very very easy to duo (you could solo easily if you wanted to). What we did (me being a ranger) is set 2 POS points at opposite ends of the small field and simply warp back and forth from position to position while firing at the NM. Took usually about 6-10 minutes for each field, on Dem my friend simply voked the little dudes while I killed the main guy. Oh and watch out for AoE's... if you're fast they will miss you entirely, but bring bloody bolts just in case.
Basically the method above worked for maybe 60-70% of the missions in CoP. We were even able to kill that hude dragon with a RDM who simply warped back and forth dispelling and casting Aero XD (finished in 27 minutes).
Anyways, Diabolos was one dude we had difficulty on because of..... Draw in! We locked our POS positions the first few times we tried to duo it, but they didn't stick well enough to kill him without getting hit. For technical folks, the memory loc wasn't freezing fast enough. SO, what I did, my friend being a lazy bumb, is up the freeze rate of POS to 1 millisecond. I tried this first using ArtMoney and it worked fine (we killed Diabolos), so I figured I'd implement it into POS as well.
Quick overview of Diabolos battle...
Position ranged character OFF of the main fighting ground (the disappearing blocks) and freeze that character floating in the air at a range at which Diabolos can be attacked. Fire away.
Hint: You can stand on the swirly portal thing behind him and shoot from there. Make sure your position is locked or you will die.
The other thing I implemented was in MrArgus. We used PC and NPC many times to find cutscene NPC's or objects that we needed to touch for cutscenes. But many times MrArgus wouldn't get us there because the distance was too far. So again... I upped the distance checked by MrArgus. It will run slower so you DO NOT want to use it for NM camping, but for other purposes it works much better.
Another thing I forgot to mention is Fleetools is now part of POS, because I too, am a lazy bumb. I also played around with combining fleetools with chocobo speed and there is now a new button in POS to "ride a chocobo" which will be invisible to all but you.
This took a load of work so I hope you all enjoy and please be careful as word has it, GM's are now monitoring BCNM ENM battles =O. Oh, that reminds me, you can use POS to solo ENM fights as well
