New TAU missions : FFXI General Discussions

Wrote this up real fast for a few friends, doesn't have any real specific info, but since these missions came out today I figured I would throw one together really quick.


Mission 9: Undersea Scouting
° Visit President Naja for the opening cutscene
° Grab an Imperial Silver Coin and head for the Under sea ruins in the NW corner of Bhaf. Thickets, an Immortal guards the entrance.
° Walk into Undersea Ruins until you get a CS, there are no monsters here.

Mission 10: Astral Waves
° Walk into Undersea Ruins until you get a CS, there are no monsters here.
° Return to President Naja to report your findings from the Undersea Ruins!

Mission 11: Imperial Schemes
° Wait until the next in game day and then return to Salaheem's Sentinel's for another CS.


Mission 12: Royal Puppeteer
° Head to Nashmau to gather information on the Ghost Ship.
° Meet the Qiqirn Pyopyoroon who asks for a jar of Jody's Acid.
° Head to Wajoam Woodlands and farm Ameretats to get Jody's Acid(RARE/EX).
° Return the acid to Pyo for a key item.


Mission 13: Lost Kingdom
° Journey out the west exit of Nashmau and head to the graveyard where you will find a tombstone.
° Clicking the tombstone once will show you a CS, and second time will spawn a NM Fomor(COR), bring a few people for this.
° Click headstone again once NM is defeated for a key item.


Mission 14: The Dolphin Crest
° Head back to visit with President Naja who tells you to check out the west side of Dvucca Isle.

Mission 15: The Black Coffin (on this fight, don't have info past it, just cutscenes I imagine.)
° Grab a party and prepare for a big BCNM fight, 5 fomors, once defeated another RDM fomor and the Captain spawn.
° Warp to Dvucca Isle and take the Reef entrance on the west side of the island.
° Straight forward walk at first, you will see a shipwreck to your left, board it for a CS and the door for the BCNM.
NOTE: If you lose or run away from this fight you will have to get another golden coin from the ghost's tombstone in Caedarva Mire(no fight involved).

Very nice. Are these your own work or did you find info elsewhere and then paraphrased?

I have done all of the missions up to The Black Coffin, so all of that I posted is my own experience, just need to find a party to do that one with, after that I am pretty sure the missions are just cutscenes.

I would just like to add to that that if you take 3 Imp. Mythril Pieces, then you can also obtain a map from the guard at the entrance to Alzadaal Undersea Ruins. Also the CS for this mission is at H-8 which is not far inside at all. After finishing the CS, you get a key item called Astral Compass. Door in front of you will be opened after CS.

You can't go any deeper than Mission 09. After you get CS, you are supposed to return to Naja Salaheem to finish Mission 10. There is only 1 CS in the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins. So jswaim1986, feel free to edit out the mistakes. If I see an discrepencies, then I will be sure to continue posting to help out.

One more addition, out of the total reward of 255, your shares comes to be 0. The damn ho stole my reward ; ;

Yeah, everything I have typed should be in the correct order, just not under the correct mission name.

I was not submitting this for points or anything really or I would of made sure it was exact, but I just wrote this up as a quick little guide for my linkshell so figured I would toss it up here if it would help anyone else out.

Can premium members say yay or nay to this being moved to a confirmed section.

So far its a good guide but I think we should wait until the guide is completed before moving it to confirmed section.

i did them all just when maintenance done

1-Talk to Naja
2-go Bhaf.. F-6
3-Enter Alzaadal and reach the door u'll get CS
4-Talk to Naja
5-wait game day
6-Reach Naja for CS
7-Kill Malboros outside for Jody's Acid (Rare/Ex) and its very common drop
8-go to Nahmau talk to npc called : Pyo... (not Popooroon)
9-exit to Caedarva Mire(the WEST zone) @ Jazaaraat Head Stone at the tomb you will get CS and Jazaaraat will pop, kill him, click on it again for CS
10-talk to Naja
11-go to Dvuuca Isle stagging point
12-enter Talcova..etc
13-go to the ship u'll get CS
14-click on the Cutter to enter BC
it is unkown if Alliance can enter the BC

you have to fight 5 easy fomors
kill them
when they all die
they will respsawn again but with another monster which is the boss
kill the captain and you won

15-talk to Naja
16-bot until the next update

Nah, no need to move my guide to confirmed really, I threw this up the day they came out after I did them for others who wanted to do them quickly.

So there are many better and organizaed guides out, mine was just a skeleton sketch of it for those who wanted to do it right away.
