I am sure this has been posted somewhere before - Just putting my info out. I am not going to search for info on this due to the fact that I already completed the event.

October 2005 Halloween Event Details

All items are completely random except the two pitchforks, (Pitchfork and Pitchfork +1.) The cheapest and easiest way to get all the Items from the event is simply trade treats to all the NPCs that are in costume. I traded one to a NPC and moved to the next, I am sure there are anti-bot codes in place to prevent people who follow only one and continuously trade. It is completely random. Sometime you will get two items in a row... Sometimes you will trade 500 treats before you get anything. I did this for about 4 hours with a friend, Thalanx, and between the two of us we got every type of event random item. I personally got the following:
Pumpkin Head
Horror Head
Trick Staff
Trick Staff II

This is how I got the two Pitchforks.

First things first - you have to understand what turns you into different creatures. You can only be changed into a costume once per game day per treat. This means if you are only using one type of treat, you can only transform once per game day. To do this faster carry 5 or 6 different types of treats, which will allow you to turn into things 5 or 6 times per game day. Specific NPCs turn you into specific things. You will just have to remember which does what. IMPORTANT. To get the +1 you must be a Goblin/Goblin combo. How you become a goblin is... You find the NPC in countries other than your own that transforms people into the beastmen from your region. EXAMPLE, if you are from San D'Oria Things that turn people into Orcs in Bastok and Windurst will transform you into a goblin. You can simply watch what it turns people into after the game day changes just by observing people near the NPC trading to it, (Cheapest way.)

Pitchfork

In my home country I became a Skeleton and my Partner became a Ghost. We ran to all 3 decorations together in southern San D'Oria BEFORE the costumes wore off.

Pitchfork +1

In Bastok I partied with someone from Windurst... Yes Windurst! Many will tell you that that will not work, but they are wrong! The only tricky part about someone from a different country is that they have to use a different NPC than you to become a goblin. She simply found a NPC that transformed people into Yagudos, and I found the one that transformed people into Orcs. We transformed into our costumes and ran to all 4 of the decorations together.

In both cases we met at the first decoration and ran to each together. I hope this helps anyone interested in this event. You do not have to target or click on anything, obtaining the item is automatic once you arrive at the last decoration.

Like I said - I already did the event so searching to see if it has already been posted is a waste of time to me. I am just trying to help others. This is a copy and paste from an e-mail I sent to my LS members and some personal friends.
