I think it is possible, the hard part is finding where in memory to look

I think this is more the side effect of JP players having on average 200-300ms less latency than we have. I know at most highly contested spawns the NM ALWAYS spawns claimed to all the NA players

I seem to have a lot more change without a bot actually. Everyone is using tyhe same MACRO (/targetnpc). It's great macro when you are in a group camping, where someone will take the voked Mob to the side n kill it while you are still camping.- But i seem to have more success even against Jp players., specially with more then one monster in the area like Mysticmaker.

All i do is my nomal macro (/targetstnpc . - with dia macro on the second line) so u wont pull untill u press return. if it's not the mob or there are more around , you can tab away. Got it 3/4 agains JP players. Then again I may just be very Lucky.

Just press F8 to target the nearest NPC.

But I HAVE heard of this provoke thing before, my friend was asking me about it, he said this one JP player would always voke before he could even see Leaping Lizzy. And he asked me to look around but I didn't find anything on it, I think he also said that it's a JP only thing, not sure.

I can Charm before I can see the NM too.


hit alt-J I think and ur job ablitly appears then Spam the !@#$%^&* out of it. If Your connection is fast enough U see ur charater cast before U have a target.

Note I couldnt do this with a 56k dial up. By the time I saw the NM it was dead allot of times I didnt even see Provoke. With the Cable I have a decent chance. I can usually Flash a NM before someone gets provoke started. Then Again in Ifirt everyone and their mother has cable or better >.< and they all seem to Spam a target the same way.

One more thing. Usually the people that do get the pop before its visible are spamming so anything that pops will get claimed.

I have seen people Bring in Trains to an NM area to prevent Spamming. Also to slow down the connections of the Japanese. It usually works. Once someone got a Train in the area and the NM popped it took 10 sec before someone got it.

Note that U wont be able to Spam if area is not cleared.

Again with the JP gets it first. You guys need to stop. I camp in my days and Mostly at 7 am to 11 am eastern - most JP are on at this time., and I do fine. Now as you can see most NM are spawn like there are dead. It's a matter of where you are ar good you rendering, and how fast you can switch target, I think after lots of complaints SE change it so everyone has a fair share at it.

I usually do better against the Japanese then against other americans. They are usually allot nicer too. Can tell you how many times I see people from the states bring in a train just because they cant get the nm. Then the worst the Cry babies in the game.

Not to mention that the Japanese will give you a fair chance unlike Americans that will stop killing just because you are their. Bunch of Greedy bastards.

I do dislike the fact that Japanese will only pty with Japanese. Because they are very good at lvling. I would take a Japanese pty over an american any day.

If you have ever played in a Japanese pty you know what I am talking about. I swear 30 seconds fight. I lvled 3 times with them at lvl 30. It was nice. Dam shame I had to Leave.

I would have to disagree with you there alex.. I have been camping almost every day to get a black belt for my monk.. The japanese make it a point to prevent me from ever getting it.. They follow us around..

One story.. Aspi had spawned the day before, so 100% chance of adamantoise which has crappy drops unless you are after black belt.. Blittactics shows up with a full alliance to camp against us.. cause we were there.

If another JP LS is there they let them have it.

After 6 months.. i have behemoth tongue. Only cause of daylights savings day last novemember, the Japanese were too stupid to figure for daylight savings time, and KB poped second window. They pulled every trick in the book to steal KB from us, but we stole it back and came with the win. We are still famous as the only NA LS who has killed KB since our server was made...

I have two accounts, I spam from a ps2, and from a pc and I have NEVER beat them on a claim. Everything spawns CLAIMED, not dead like it would otherwise. I believe they cheat. I report them to GM every day. Don't tell me that my LS doesn't have skill, cause thats bull.

Maybe on YOUR server you don't go against a lot of japanese vokebots, but come to Remora and watch king behemoth spawn, its friggin amazing.

I am in Ifrit most of the Bots here are Americans. I never had a problem with the Japanese.

Though and very important I have never seen a full Japanese Allience hunting a nm. I can ask around on how bad it is to get Behemoth.

One important thing though. If you have 18 people hunting a nm and 1 or 2 or even 3 people come to hunt too. What would you do?
I would put my Best and Fastest members right next to them to get the claim incase it pops right in front of them.


If you bring 18 people like they do you would most likely have a better chance. If you bring 36 in then your chances increase even more. But Most AMERICANS are too Greedy to do that because it invovles sharing or actual Team Work.

That is Why the Japanese beat most of us. They work together and that is why they allow other Japaneses get claims its called TEAM WORK. If we did the same thing we would allot better. Same goes for ptys and everything else. The Japanese help each other. Most Americans Don't. Ex Have you seen an NA Allience Pty for Xp? I see the Japanese doing it all the time. The XP is less but they kill so much faster that it more than makes up for it and the with the xp chains no downtime.

That is Fudged up that they tried to Steal your claim though. I am glad that your LS was able to Beat them Good Work.

All I am saying is they work together. We including myself usually dont. The only ones to Blame for them beating us on claims is ourselves.

Most of the people I play with I was friends with before FFXI. We all use ventrillo and are extreamly organized. With the server repops we have organized groups to get specific NMs over the map before the servers were even up. I think yesterday we got like.. adamantoise, bune, argus, eastern shadow, and a bunch of other stuff I can't even remember. With no more than 15 people online at 9am in the morning

I don't think the Japanese "work tegether" more than us. Its not all Japanese, even the other Japanese on my server complain all the time about BlitzTactics and how they spawn things claimed to them. The other JP linkshells call them BotTactics.

I've figured out how to target from memory directly now, and I still loose claim to them when stuff pops in front of me.. so I still have a little to learn.

I'm in Ifrit too and I want to reply to alex2001. If you thinks JP dont cheat at HNM 3 kings for example you are wrong. Who can provoke Fafnir, Nidhogg while 8 darters around in Dragon Aery. Of course JP. You go watch KFCfellows, Icarus Wings, Nagi Swallows for example at those 3 kings camp. They all use JP bot which I believe it's better than our current NA bots.

The reason there are not many US go there to camp there for 3 hrs waiting to see JP claimed it coz we are tired of it. KFC are there at 3 kings everyday no matter what time it is in JP they will be there. And whenever u check those area and see 70 plus people means JP HNM ls expect king to pop. IW & Nagi they dont really care much about normal king anymore coz they have abj for their 5th jobs for every of their members. Go ask high lv HNM NA ls in Ifrit ask them if anyone of them ever got adaman hauberk i see none. Not even one.

So it's pretty much 3 kings are monopolized by JP. I dont know if US bots if better than them but as far as I know I never seen one that can beat them at 3 kings yet unless it pops far from them. We beat them couple times but that like once every 3-4 months and no one would like to go there everyday spend 3 hrs doing nothing and see them win claim again and again.
