Ok im new to this whole deal. now when i download programs alot of them are in .zip and thats all gravy to me. But hwen they are in .rar i cant seem to get them to work for nothing.
Can a computer veteran tell me how to deal with .rar programs?

It'll tell you about a trial period, but you can still use it after its expired... It just has a box pop up telling you "30 days expired, blah blah blah" and then just exit the little pop-up box and there ya go. You can use it beyond the trial period lol

if you want, check out 7zip. its like the open source alternative to winrar http://www.7-zip.org/ however, it unfortunately only allows unpacking of rars
