sooo I play at home, but this morning when i logged on, all gear over 50k (bastards even took my RSE) was gone ; ; and 7m in straight gil. I just wanted to know how this happened...
are there spyware or trojan that i may have gotten from weebsites (i suck at comp stuff) that steal ure pw? or w/e possibility
I also have 3 RL friends that know my account info/pw but I can trust them with my life and never talked about account/pw info in-game.

yes its possible that you could have gotten a trojan or something from a site. always possible that it may have happened. free websites are your biggest bet for it to have had it stolen. what antivirus do you have installed by the way?

(!empty($user->lang['QUOTE'])) ? $user->lang['QUOTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'QUOTE'))): I also have 3 RL friends that know my account info/pw but I can trust them with my life and never talked about account/pw info in-game. But not anyone else that might have access to your friend's computer. Or worse, could be the people you trust.

i would look into NOD32 as a primary scanner for you downloading files. amazing heruristics detection on it. many antivirus sites say its the best one out there at that. second thing you will want is kaspersky antivirus 6.0 a your computer scanner.
heruristics is of incoming files and stuff so it detects if there is a virus while your downloading or detects a trojan loading (as if lets say viewing a pr0n site) and prevents it from loading.
kaspersky 6.0 has amzing detection when the virus is on your computer in a file or while its actually doing something against your computer. while 6.0 was in beta you can easily find a download of it (legal download) on the internet on many many sites. the beta is complete but they have not began to sell it on the market. the reason why i say 6.0 over the current 5.0 is that 5.0 uses a LOT of resources while 6.0 uses minimal resources. look for the latest one, i will post on up a download link for you later.

A good firewall can help too. You can tell it which programs are allowed to access the internet. So a trojan can be contained. Zone Alarm is a good free firewall. www.zonelabs.com don't get the pro, the free version is good enough.

Im going to say one of your friends did it. Rule of thumb no matter how much you trust someone dont give them your info. Reason being you now have to worry that maybe your comp was 100% safe, however theres wasnt. They went on got a program that had a spyware in it and you in turn gave your info away. Sorry that this happened to you nevertheless.
