SAM and NIN quests. : FFXI General Discussions

Could someone tell me some advice on these two quests. And answer me these questions.

What lvl are the Korroloka leeches?

The NM's with the SAM quest are what lvl?

Do i need a high lvl to help?

well for the sam quest i had a lvl 57 whm, lvl 50 drk and a lvl 50 rng, and both mobs you have to kill were VERY easy. So you can probably kill the mobs with 1 allience.(all lvl 30-35)

Ok, for all the hearsay about SAM and NIN quests i am gonna share my experience

SAM quest

1) Its is harder to get to the tree, than the tree actually is. We had an 8 ppl alliance, only 2 adv jobs (Ranger <me> Dark Knight <friend>) and it was pretty easy, we were all in yellow but had some MP left. I also used Barrage and Eagle eye shot.

2) Forger is a cake to get to, and with a WHM healing I could solo Forger 1 time, but it would cost me Eagle eye and Barrage. We had a lvl 65 Paladin take him out every 4 mins, (with the help of a Ranger of course...hehe)

NIN quest

1) place sucks to get to, i hope you have a map (I did) or someone knows where.

2) I fought them twice.
TIME #1 Lvl 55 WAR and 45 DRK took care of them, used JA's on both.

TIME #2 Multiple high lvls, so again wasn't that hard.

But i would say if you go at it in your 30's make sure you clear out all leeches, sleep 2 of the NM leeches and take them 1 by 1. Leeches have always been tough so be careful.

i gave up on the ninja quest... i was helping a freind, it was me a lvl 27 sam,50 war, and a lvl 30 thf. i'm guessing that the leeches are about lvl 20+
We all died twice, so after the second time i left.
So my advice is to get a few mages and have them be about lvl 50+

I just did the Ninja quest again with a party of mid 30's

RNG/WAR
WAR/MNK
WAR/NIN
MNK/SAM
BLM/BRD
WHM/SMN

we thrashed them in 2 minutes, <me> Ranger used Eagle Eye Shot
