The game wont proceeded after the "Downloading screen" : FFXI General Discussions

When I have UXleashed on, the game performs normally until I reach the loading screen then the whole computer crashes, FFXI works normally with out XUleashed running and XUleashed has been running XUFISH for months with out any problems but now I'm not able to get into the game with XUleashed on.


(The downloading Screen is the one that you see after choosing your character right before you enter the game. )

Is there an update I should download or are they currently working on this problem and just wait?
Will the update happen when I start XUleashed if they are currently working on it?

Do you have a gamepad?

i own one but its not being used for FFXI. the thing is it was working fine before the update so im thinking its update related.

If you have a gamepad or joystick connected to the computer unplug it / uninstall it and try again.

there isent a joystick or controler pluged in. uninstall FFXI and xuleashed?

I thought I fixed all gamepad issues.

Try check/uncheck the HookGamepad checkbox.

I'm also encountering gamepad issues. When Hook Gamepad and Windowed mode are checked, the game will not load past the FF play screen. It won't go to windowed mode. It just stops and freezes. I've checked and unchecked everything and the Hook Gamepad is what causes it.

I just put out a quick fix to add some logging and tweak some gamepad settings. PLease patch and post a new log if you are still having gamepad problems.

well i updated it but its giveing me an error and not launching the game.

I think you need to go to the registration screen, enter your password and click the "Lock" button to lock the registration to your computer.

My gamepad still wont work either.

What does that mean gamepad wont work?

You mean if you tab out and back in it wont work? Or that if you plug it in you crash? Or you mean you slammed it on the ground and it broke? I dont follow ya.

I just relased a patch that should fix gamepads.

Please check "Ignore DirectInput"
Please check Hook Gamepad.

It should work as its intended now.
