I'm looking for a good guide to help HQ synths , either by putting items in mog house or anything, if anyone could help me out with this iwould appreciate it, thnx, ^^
Skill Level – It is rumored that the HQ chance is not linear, but is actually tiered. At Tier 1, around 51 levels above the skill cap HQ is capped at 50%. At Tier 2, around 31 and above the skill cap HQ is greatly affected by moon phase and day. At Tier 3, around 10 levels and above the skill cap HQ minimally affected by moon phase and day. And at Tier 4, at or below the skill cap there is minimal chance of HQ.
Crystal/Day – It is assumed that you should synth with a particular crystal on the respective day for that crystal. For example, if you were to synth with a Wind Crystal, Iceday and Darksday should yield you the highest results. Earthsday and Lightsday would yield you the lowest. The reason for this is that Darksday and Lightsday are at the opposite ends of the spectrum. Wind is weak against Ice and strong against Earth.
Moon Phase – I usually HQ synth on the following days: New Moon (0%), Full Moon (100%), and Quarter Moon (50%). It has been my experience that synthing while in New Moon gives the highest results, and Full Moon gives the lowest results out of the three moon phases.
Direction Faced – It is assumed that you face in the direction of the crystal being used.
Moogle-enhancements - Certain items placed in your moghouse may yield moogle-enhancements that aid you in the synthing process. For example, placing bookshelves, cupboards, red jars, etc. in your moghouse will gain you moogle-enhancement fire which may hinder the loss of materials in synths requiring a fire crystal. Vice-versa, a strong water elemental field could have adverse effects on synthing with fire crystals.
Advice:
If you're going specifically for HQ items, try to craft during a new moon and on Darksday and/or the day your crystal is weakest against. One synth is worthless when going for an HQ. Try to synth a "stack" of materials instead which generally ends up with 12 total synths.
HQ is one way to make money in crafting. But, even with a formula, it is not a get rich quick way of making money. Making money in crafting relies on the fundamentals of any business and the risks involved.
i usually do alot of earth synths to try to HQ its rumored its best to try for HQ on windday facing SE i wanted to know if this is true or are there other elements earth is weak against and what direction should i try. thankyou for the replies ^^
