I wonder what will happen. I am hoping for the best. I think it will make more traffic but other than that I dont know if it will be good or bad.

Seems like it'll be the PC version compiled for the Xbox360.
Aka, nothing special more than that more people can play.

Well playing MMO's on concols isn't going to go away. Like the PS2 I think it can be only good for ffxi.

I think it will be good too. I am hoping FF11 makes more em's and add more improvements.
The only thing I would Love to see is the ability for whites to solo. A white should be able to kill Mage mobs as easy as the melee fighters can. An undead mob for a White should not even be a challenge and ghost.
Any way I wonder how many more people would play ff11 on the Xbox. Also once the new Ps3 comes out I am hopind for way better graphics for the FF11. I would not be willing to buy all the !@#$%^&* again to play ff11 I would buy an expansion to get it updated for the Ps3.
Only thing that worries me is with the new people coming in. It will affect the ecenomy again. Last time this happened with the PS2 prices sky rocketed. They eventually came down but where allot higher than before.

I'm really hoping they improve it and add various things when it releases for XBox 360, but I have a feeling asl18fs is right. (It'll be the PC version compiled for the Xbox360.) I guess only time will tell. I haven't seen much information about Final Fantasy XI for the Xbox 360, hopefully we'll get some news before the launch of the system.

This is an article that I found last week concerning the XBox 360..
NEW XBOX 360 FINAL FANTASY XI DETAILS
Posted: 10:42 on 08 Jun 2005
By: Chris Leyton
Final Fantasy XI Producer reveals further details on the Xbox first MMORPG...
Speaking within the pages of Famitsu, Hiromichi Tanaka, has recently shed further details on how Final Fantasy XI is shaping up for the Xbox 360 and confirmed that a beta-test for the title is shortly to commence.
Hiromichi-san claimed that the 360 version will offer a draw-distance twice that of the PC version, and will feature an assortment of new content such as jobs and the possibility of new Summon magic spells.
Concluding the piece, Hiromichi-san suggested the possibility of a Playstation3 version based on further clarification as to whether Sony’s new format will or wont feature a hard drive.
We’ll have further information on Final Fantasy XI soon.
NOTE: Notice the bold section... New jobs and possibility of new summons... I've also read a few other articles on this that stated that Microsoft may not be willing to open up the XBox Live network to the outside FFXI servers so SE may create Private XBox servers.....BTW is !@#$%^&*!
I'd be interested to see what others think about this and I'll do some digging for some of the other articles I've read in the past few weeks.

moonvball";p="67737 (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE'))): will offer a draw-distance twice that of the PC version This makes me laugh every time. Especially when people are super impressed with it.
All it means is they're not upgrading graphics, only raising limits to try use the hardware a little more.

Yeah, I'm not so much impressed with the draw-distance but I am looking forward to the latter part of that statement concerning new Jobs and "possible" summons. I've heard rumors of them beta testing a blue mage char type for months on the test servers... Could be a very interesting job class.

If they release blue mage there'll be blue mage alliances clearing stuff in valkurm due to lack of monsters. The lower level monster population would overnight grow extinct.
Personally I never understood the obsession with blue mages though.

I'm sure blue mage could play an interesting roll in parties. I know I'd love to "learn" Corkscrew from a pug and then be able to use it right back on em.... I've eaten many a death from that move >.<
It was also stated "jobs" so I'd be very interested to see any other jobs they may come up with. I still have alot of fun playing all the current jobs but it would be great to have a few more to tool around with.
I'd definately be interested in them making summoner something more than a backup/main healer with status buffs. In all my parties with summoner I have yet to see one really use the melee potential of their summons and very, very few that use their abilities to do MB's.
One enhancement I'd love to see is more than 7 AH slots >.< There's already room for 10, why not make a quest to earn the extra slots just like they do for the moghouse upgrades and gobbie bags. I've never really understood that.
