Advanced Job Guide : FFXI Submissions

Job: Paladin
Location:South San d'Oria
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: Talk to Balasiel at lvl 10 and he will give you a quest called "A Squire's Test", it's really easy, all you have to do is give him a Revival Root wich can be bought at the AH and if ya don't have enough, then just go to King Ranperre's Tomb and fight a monster by the tombstone that only comes out at night. Then there is another quest you have to do for Balasiel. He wants you to go to Ordelle's Caves, so before you go down to Ordelle's Caves talk to Chunpau then go to the Cathedral and talk to Morjean then head down to Ordelle's Caves. Be carefull because this place is high lvl and they might kick your TAULT CENSORED. Go threw the Caves untill you get to the Waterfall Area (G-7). on the east side is some sparkling water with a ??? sign on it, go over and check it and you will recieve a "Stalactite Dew". Now go back to Balasiel and and talk to him or trade him the Dew, can't remember wich. Now for the last part of the Paladin quest. You have to solve some Riddles from the Ancient Books of Knightly Learning. Balasiel reads from the first book and the message is for you to go talk to the guards on the second floor of the guardpost in Victory Square. When you speak to the first guard Cahaurmehe gives you the Book of the East, talk to the second guard and he gives you the Book of the West. Now you have to go to Davoi and go to (E-10), there is a well. If you check it you find a Knight's Soul in it, take that back to Balasiel and you will then be Knighted.

Job: Dark Knight
Location: Bastok Mines
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: Talk to Gumbah and you will start a convorsation and Gumbah will start talking about a Galka who disappeared a while ago. Zeid ((he Missing Galka) has some connection with a Dark Knight. Now go to Palborough Mines and go to Area (H- on the Third Floor and get into the boat. After talking with Zeid he will give you the Chaosbringer and tell you to satisfy it's hunger, meaning you have to kill 100 creatures with it. Don't worry, it's not as hard as it sounds, just go outside of bastok and kill the Bees and Worms.

Job: Beastmaster
Location: Lower Jeuno
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: When going to the Merchants house above the Chocobo Stables you meet up with Dietmund, His son is sick and he needs you to get him some "Night Flowers" because they're the only thing that can remedy his illness. So, you must go down to Quifim Island and go to Area (F- and fight a monstor called Kraken. After you kill it you get the Night Flower (Wich must be blooming), a cut-scene will open up, Dietmund checks the Flowers says he needs a Bulb to, and out of nowhere a Chocobo appears and digs out a bulb of the plant. Go back to Dietmunds house and his son gives you a Beast whistle and 2100 gil.

Job: Ranger
Location: Windurst Woods
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: Talk to Perih Vashai she tells you to go to Sauromange Champaign. An old Sabertooth Tiger lives in the Area (L-10) in a cave. Don't kill the Tiger, you have to watch it die, after it dies go over to it's body and examine it to get an Old Tiger Fang. Go back to Perih Vashai to get the Ranger's Necklace and the ability to become a Ranger.

Job: Bard
Location: Lower Jeuno
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: Go to the Marry Minstrel Meadhouse in Lower Jeuno and talk to Mertaire. When that's done talk to Bki Tbujhja to learn the Song of Runes in Buburimu Peninsula. The song is about two seperated lovers and it might inspire Mertaire. Mertaire won't come to you so you have to bring the song to him, so you need some parchment. Once you get the Parchment go to (G-9) in Buburimu Peninsula and you'll get the Song of Runes (You have to trade the Parchment to the Song). Go back to Mertaire and give the Song to him. The next set of Runes are in Valkrum Dunes, go to the Northwest point and go into the secret cave. On the other side of the cave is a secret beach wich has the runes on it, check the Runes and now you have the Bard.

Job:Summoner
Location:Windurst Walls
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: First you have to go to the Maze of Shakrami and kill monsters untill you get Carbucle's Ruby,then go to the House of the Hero in Windurst Walls and check the door. Depending on your previous quests and missions either Ajido Marujido or the Cardian know as the Joker will answer. When you get in the house you learn that you have to collect the 7 lights in the Ruby to get it to glow with each color. For the colors to shine you have to get the right weather, so I'll give you the list

Red~Hot Spells~Valkrum Dunes, Rolanberry
Orange~Sunshine~Valkrum Dunes,Sarutabaruta, and most other areas
Yellow~Dust Storms~Valkrum Dunes, Tarhongi Canyon, Konschat Highlands
Green~Wind~La Theine, Mhaura, Tarhongi Canyon
Blue~Snow~Xarcabard, Beaucedine
Indigo~Rain~La Theine, Pashow Marshlands
Violet~Thunder~Jugner Forest, Konschat Highlands

That's where to go for the certain weather conditions.
After you get all the colors, Carbuncle appears and asks you to follow it to La Theine, so you should obviously follow it. Once you're in La Theine go to area (G-6) and put the Ruby in the stone, now you can become a Summoner.

Job: Samurai
Location: Norg
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: Talk to Jaucribaix and he wants you to do some errands first, he needs a sacred branch and some bomb steel. So leave and go talk to Ranemaud and Aeka, they give some items that you need to fight the monsters to get the items that Jaucribaix needs. I'll make a list on how to get these two items.

Sacred Branch: Go to the huge tree on the eastern side of Zi'tah Sanctuary (L-10). There is a passageway that you follow east leading up to the tree. If you use a hatchet on the ??? spot the Guardian Trent will appear. After fighting him trade the sprig to Jaucribaix.

Bomb Steel: To get the Bomb Steel you have to go to Konschat Highlands and go to Area (D-. trade the Oriental Stell to the ??? and a bomb named Forger will appear. After killing the monster you get the Bomb Steel.

Go back to Jaucribaix and trade him the items, then he tells you to come back in three days, Vana'diel time. when you come back he gives you mumeito and you can now become a Samurai.

Job: Ninja
Location: Port Bastok
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: First you have to talk to a few people, I'm gonna make another list of where they are

Kaede: In a house in (I-5)
Kagetora: Warehouse in (F-5)
Ensetsu: Room to the left of Kaede

After talking to them go to Zeruhn Mines then to Korroloka Tunnel. Go to Area (K-/(L- of the northwest map, there is a spotdifferent from the others. Check the ??? and three Korroloka Leaches come out, kill the leaches and check the spot again to get some "Strangely Shaped Corral". Now go back to Enstsu, he tells you to go to Norg and give the Corral to Ryoma, Ryoma gives you a Sealed Dagger, give the Dagger to Ensetsu and you can now become a Ninja

Job: Dragoon
Location: Northern San d'Oria
Requirements: Lvl 30
Info: Talk to Arminibit (In the warehouse Cargo Room) you start talking about Dragons and Dragoons and some guy named Cyranuce, if you go to Bostauniex Oubliette and tlak to Novelmauge you find out that Cyranuce died a few days ago and one of the convicts mentioned something about a Dragon Slayer. Now you have to talk to Oihereaurse.
He's in the Cathedral (Speak to Morjean first) , he asks you to find a Wyvern egg and bring it to the Cathedral. Before you leave grab a stack or two of pick axes. Go to the maze of Shakrami and you'll find an excavation point where you can get the egg. Once you get the egg go back to the Cathedral and talk to Morjean. Talk to Yachemidot and listen to what he has to say. When he's done talking go to the East section of Drogaroga's Spine in the Meriphataud Mountains. Put the egg on the ??? in Area (K-, after placing the egg Cyranuce appears. After that's done go back to San d'Oria and talk to Rahal in Chateau d'Oraguille, he sais that Cyranuce is somewhere near Ghelsba Outpost and he gives you something to help find him. There is a small hut with a hide door in (G-10)
go in the hut and you will have to fight Cyranuce in Dragon form. After you defeat him you adopt the baby Wyvern and you can now become a Dragoon.

Now, I have finished this really long guide I just hope that it gets me Premium, and if you need more I'll give more details about the jobs, like job abilities or why what race is good for doing what, please just give me Premium.
