I have confirmed this works with a few items on hand. I'm not sure if it has been posted elsewhere since I don't have premium. If this post is worthy, premium would be appreciated.
You can trade a R/E item to the Ranchers and they will give you items and/or buffs without losing the R/E item being traded. I have tried this with the Yagudo Holy water and it works. I also tried the snowman that were given and yes, you retain all items. If you trade regular items, you will forfeit those items to the Ranchers. This might also work on other season events that you obtain items from but until the next one, I wont be able to confirm.
