Ok, that premium membership would be nice so here goes.
The most obvious way to make gil is to kill monsters that drop gil (i.e. goblins, orcs, yagudos, and quadavs). This is also the slowest way to make gil and should be avoided if at all possible (and it is).
The second most common way to make gil is to farm. But there are few good farming spots in Vanadiel, and the best kept secret is where to farm. You can farm for bee chips, and potentially make 20k gil per hour in bee chips. You can farm these in N. Gustaberg, S. Gustaberg, East and West Sarutabaruta. In other words, just go beserk on the bees if you like farming as your gil making option. While crystals do provide for a slow but steady income, it is not as great as the bee chips. To farm these bees you can be any level. The bumble bees in west sarutabaruta and South gustaberg are around level 1-3. The man eating hornets and Giant Bumbleb\ bees, in North gustaberg and East sarutabaruta are between 5-10. Note: Any kind of bee can drop a beehive chip.
Another spot to farm is in the south of the Lathiene plateau and next to the crag. You want to be farming the grass fungars which are around levels 11-13 (I suggest farming them at level 15 or so) and they drop precious sleepshrooms (and dark crystals if your nation has control over the area and you have signet). These sleepshrooms sell for about 3k a stack in the Phoenix server (which I am in). These fungars can also be found in Jungar Forest and they are around level 25 (but a lot of things agro in Jungar so be careful) and in the caves of the Ghelsba outpost around level 5-10. These can be found in various places but those are the best farming spots. Note: Fungars link, se be catious (and poison Fungars agro AND link).
My final farming suggestion is in the Jungar Forest. Hunting the forest tigers takes a bit of levels and patience. But when you get your paws on three of theyre black tiger fangs, you get paid 2,100 gil by Taumila in Taumila’s sundries located in southern sandoria (this is a quest).
(The farming suggestions are ordered by level but you may stick with the bees if you find that you likie the profit they provide and how easy they are to find)
On to the next way to make gil; This is a step by step guide so pay attention to every detail:
1) Get into a link shell with a fair amount of people in it or start your own and give the link pearls to many people you party with. 2) Be sure to check everyone’s bazaar when out in the wilderness for good deals on crystals, weapons, armor, and furniture. 3) If a good deal id found resell it at the Auction House for a substantial profit. 4) You can also check the stores within the cities and occaisionally you will find something that sells for more on the Auction House than it cost you to buy at the store. In that case buy it, then resell it at the Auction House. (Scale Mail sells for about 2k in the armor shop in Bastok Markets, and sells for 3-4k at the auction house in San D’oria. 5) The main point of this is look where you go for deals, and BUY LOW AND SELL HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope this guide to making gil proves useful to you by making you have a larger sum of money than before. =) and have fun!

I forgot to mention, Stinging Sophie (a notorious monster) lives at the top of the really big hill in North Gustaberg. And if you kill her she might drop a Beestinger Dagger (the lowest delay dagger there is). This sells for 7k or so on Phoenix and is a level 7 dagger. Stinging Sophie is level 9-10 for those of you who plan on hunting her. But lots of maneating hornets are there so keep yourself busy killing them for beehive chips during the 1hour respawn time. =)
