In this guide I'll show you how to successfully beat all the promyvions so you can get access to the Tavnazian areas.
The most common party setup for all the promys is
WHM, BLM, SMN, RNG, WAR, WAR
You can also trade the second Warrior for another good DD class (2 SMNs would work perfect)
If you can get a second SMN, by all means do it. Youll be able to finish off the bosses sooo much faster. Their Astral Flows will just tear any of these guys apart, and their avatars work great against MRs!
Another thing you might want to do to make the boss fight smother, is get the Rare/Ex recollections that drop off any mob in the promy zones, and trade it for an anima.
Anima names/what they do:
Psychoanima: Makes the NM/Boss stop attacking, but beware as it can still use TP moves and abilities.
Hysteroanima: Makes the NM/Boss unable to use TP moves and abilities, but it can still do regular attacks.
Terroanima: Makes the boss start running around like its being kited, good in sticky situations.
**If you use Psycho and Hystero animas at the same time, the Boss cannot attack you at all. Very, very useful**
All right, onto the actual promy zones/fights
Once inside any of the promyvion zones, have your RNG do a widescan and look for a Memory Receptacle (aka MR). Once hes got one and tracking it, head towards it.
All mobs in here aggro and have true sight, but with the right timing you can get by them all without fighting any. And remember, they have true sight, so you can still run past them when their backs are turned and get away safe.
Once you get to the MR your RNG was tracking, start killing the Strays floating all around it. Dont attack the MR until these are dead, or else it will turn into a mess.
After the Strays are killed, have your mages and ranger stand up against the invisable wall on the other side of the MR (the ledge) so when he uses Empty Seed you wont go flying into aggro

Now have your tank or any other DD start attacking the MR, except RNG. The RNG has to stand back and kill all strays that the MR summons. After the MR is dead, one of two things will happen. A teleporter to the floor above you will appear, or nothing. If nothing happens, you have to find another MR and kill it, then hope the teleporter appears.
Keep doing this until youre on the floor where you can enter the Spire zone(3~4 floors up). Once you enter the Spire, everyone rest if the need to, and get ready to enter the boss fight
Dem Boss: Progenerator
After entering the boss zone, everyone use food/buff and the rest to full. Once youre ready, have the WAR go in and voke him and start the attack!
Use your Animas whenever you can, and they DO stack so you can use 2 different ones at the same time for a better effect.
The WAR should 2hour ASAP for the DMG and to hold hate even better.
This boss is based on Earth, so use the Wind element as much as you can. This includes using SMNs wind element Astral Flow on this guy and BLMs spamming aero spells.
At 7%~, have the RNG do barrage > Eagle Eye Shot to finish him off.
Watch the CS and youll be rewarded a Key item, grats!
HOLLA BOSS: Wreaker
This ones a lot harder than the Dem boss, so brace yourselves.
Strong vs Water, Weak vs lightning again so have your Ramuhs out and start casting thunder BLMs!
The Wreaker uses AoE Sleep, Blind, and Curse (
) so a good idea is to bring some poison potions so your WHM doesnt fall alseep and unable to heal your WAR.
This guy also uses Trinary Tap when his HP gets low, which will do either of the following to you:
1)absorb 3 Status effects
2)absorb a ton of HP from you
So its a good idea to always have 3+ status effects on you during this fight.
Same as Dem, go in, eat food, rest then WAR vokes him.
Mighty strikes him at the beggining and at 50%~ SMNs use Judgement bolt.
The RNG shouldnt wait for the 7%~ HP to EES this time, you have to kill it fast as you can or Trinary Tap! so RNG EES right after SMN and then BLM use manafont and just try to blow this thing up before it gets too angry.
Youll get another CS and a Key item
MEA BOSS: Delver
This guys the hardest boss (imo) and the only one I died to when I did my promys.
Use Ramuh on this guy again and Astral Flow > Judgement bolt him at 50%~
The main thing you must do during this fight is have the WAR keep hate! Do everything you can, voke, 2hour, use abilities, WS..anything! If you start to let this guy run around he will use a AoE ability like no tomorrow, carosel. This goes through shadows and hurts, bad!
If your WAR can keep hate pretty good, youll be just fine. If at anytime he loses hate, use an anima to keep the Boss from doing his AoE.
After the fight youll get a CS and a Key item, then get warped to lufaise meadows
Hopefully my guide helped you, these are the strats i used to beat the promys when i did them, and lost once (damn carosel!!)
