In this guide I will show you how to make Japanese macros.
Windows IME Method.
A1) Eastern Language Packs installed. You can install these if you have your Windows XP CD by opening up the Control Panel and clicking on Regional and Language Options. Click the Language tab on the top of the menu. Check in "Install Files for Eastern Languages". After the installation (you will be most likely prompted to restart your computer) open up the same menu, click on the Languages tab. Click on details. Click add and slect Japanese and install with the Microsoft IME.
Open up Notepad or any other text editing program. Now Hold Shift and Left ALT until your Language Bar turns to a JP symbol. Now Press Ctrl+~. You can type in kigou for symbols or use any other romanjii for Japanese words. (Also, after installing this you can type Japanese in regular situations like emails, websites, etc ヽ("゜ω゜")ゝ)
JWPce Method.
A2) Download JWPce
http://www.physics.ucla.edu/~grosenth/jwpce.htmlOpen up the program. Type in Kigou for symbols, type in Romanjii for Japanese Words, etc. Much like the first method, but error filled.
Making the Macros
B) Download VanaHand
http://vanahand.s29.xrea.com/ . (Its a JP program, just keep hitting enter until its installed.) Open up your start menu. You should see some Japanese Characters under the shortcut directory, this is the program. When you start the App, you will be prompted for the folder. The directory of your Macros are PlayOnline/SquareEnix/Final Fantasy XI/ User/ XXXX. The XXXX stands for your characters, in order of content ID purchase. You can Copy and Paste the Japanese Characthers/Symbols into the macros from here on. Try to use the Right Click copy and paste, it works better.
