ok it seems i might be the first who has figured this one out. what u gotta do is.....
lets say ur hp is 100/500
and u dont want to wait forever till it gets back to 500
Programs needed:
Tsearch
FFXI Windower.
Step 1:
(This depends on ur stats) when i sit down to heal, my character starts healing from 9, E.G 109/500, after a couple of seconds, it becomes 10, so my hp becomes 119/500, then it becomes 11, making my hp 130/500, now what you have to do is, use Tsearch do edit this adress, in order to increase it directly, so that next time, itll start healing from 50 for instance....
In order to do this, you need to open tsearch, and target POL.exe, search for unknown value , wait till its done ( u might need a fast PC for this )
After that is done, u will need to sit down, and figure out the value that u will first heal from when u sit down ( mine was 9 ) and as soon as u sit down, u will need to do a search next on TSEARCH, and directly input that number, u will notice that there is more than 1 value, so go back to FFXI, and take a look at how much ur hp is bieng added, ( in order to differentiate) then do another search next, keep repeating this till u get 1 value, after that, u will set it to a high number, and ur character will heal much faster...
All credits go to ME =P
Edit: I would post a couple of tutorials on how to use tools, and things i have personally used for this game, if i was allowed to... =) wich should help u figure stuff out on ur own, depending on ur logic and creativity...

Can I save this anywhere or does it need to go into my FFXI/POL folder?

I agree - your HP is server side... I know we have all DC'd durring battle at some point or another. Even though your DC'd and your computer does not kow you have been hit anymore - when you reconnect your HP reflects the ammount of damage you took before the server realized you were not there anymore and logged you off the server. Now weather your healing HP/MP calculations are server or client side is up in the air. But i will eat my cap as well if this works... I could solo like crazy with any mage if that was the case. Stoneskin/rest for a few seconds for full MP... then at it again.
