Counter Strike a great game. I have not played a game more then i've played cs. I dont know, it just doesn't get boring. Anyway.
This will be a little guide to make you more l337 in Counter-Strike 1.6.

Despite the amount of hackers in Counter-Strike it's still a great game and VAC has really stepped up its priority in catching them.
Lets talk public servers because scrims is alittle more towards the expert table and i will write a CAL guide later.
Lesson #1.
What do you buy in the beginning of the round? Usually you start off with $800. Press B - 1 - 2.. or if your a CT use the default gun you start with. The usp is a great pistol to rape with. When using the usp dont burst away all your bullets..the shots will miss.. take slow bursts at peoples heads..aim high and you'll get em easily.
Never run out to the open, it's just asking the other players to rape you. Always have a place to reload or run to for cover. 2nd round now if you won you should around $3400.. if not buy an mp5 but if you can, buy an M4a1. or Colt Carbine. This gun rapes if you use it correctly.. mp5's is more geared towards the noob section but its still a great gun overall. Anyways. M4a1 has range, a good Firing rate and great damage. its a great novice gun to use but you need to know how to use it.
Scenario 1... Terrorist pops around a corner and is 10 feet away from you. What do you do?
SPRAY at his knees and crouch down to control your fire. your close enough to spray accurately. Never ever spray when your far away, it makes no sense to.
Scenario 2...you pop around a corner and notice a terrorist in the distance. Take your crosshair just 1 mm above his head and burst 2-3 shots... in no time youll grab the headshot for the kill.. this is the fastest way to kill someone.. this takes practice though, it takes sometime to react and move the xhair to his head. you get use to it in no time though.

Moving on.
The m4a1 has 2 options to it. M4a1 regular and m4a1 Silenced. The silenced is for more stealthed killing but it offers less accuracy. i usually use the silencer for short range shots.. but for long range you wanna go regular m4a1.
always always always always move.. never stop in cs unless the enemy doesnt see you. think about it? whats harder to hit, a moving target or a stable one. you have to expect when to move and how to shoot. if you run and spray you wont hit anything. But if you strafe left and right and stop for a few milliseconds and spray thats just enough time for a good headshot..and your unhittable..
