DDO is okay. A friend plays Allods and likes that a lot. I've another that plays Crime Craft but I don't know too much about that, though he seems to enjoy it. I've been playing Aion and Guild Wars while waiting for SWTOR and GW2. Aion has some great graphics but the game is very gear-dependent and I dislike the huge focus on PVP. It's mostly just gank vs gank and when a player 8 or 9 levels above you comes into your zone and you can't lay a finger on hi because of the level difference, well, that sorta killed the game for me, so I haven't played much after that.
Im thinking to go back to WAR for a time. At least with that you knew the risks when you entered a PVP zone.

Aion is ok, they kinda nerfed pvp, but i still like it. Free to play i would go with Battle of the immortals. very nice pet system but non payers can get everything payers can get just not as easy.

DFO is okay, they need to fix a ton of things still. DFO is very much like asherons call in the fact it has an actual projectile base going on. However the next big game has to be GW2 which is what we all wanted DFO to be. Check out guildwars2 and the beta is going on this weekend too

GW2 is good game so far. i played the Beta. Darkfall in my opinions wasnt a good game at all. Aion was good at release and few month after, since they have FTP with !@#$%^&* you have to pay alot of real cash to be balance in pvp.

I used to love EQ2 until SOE killed it by making it too easy mode and the crap changes they did to Freeport. It's F2P now though (even though they'd previously said they'd never make sub-based servers into F2P, do'h). But yeah, I stopped playing Aion when they started making it F2P. Huge unfair advantages there. CoH/CoV is F2P now, and I loved the game when I first played it, but I haven't played it since it when F2P so I can't tell you if it's still good or not. AoC if F2P now too, and although the game had a serious lack of content and bad start, it's a bit more polished now. Funcom still can't do expansions though; that Asian place (I forget the name of it) was the definition of grind. You literally did the same few quests and areas over and over to gain favor with your chosen factions... when a game becomes more tedious work than fun entertainment, then it's tome for me to quit. Like others, I'd have to recommend GW2. It's pretty awesome so far. It'll probably be like $50 for the initial game but no fees after that. Or you could always pony up (FOR PONY!) the $25 or so for Minecraft and play on some RPG server. ;p

well I've been jumping around the FTP's alot lately, and I just got into Atlantica Online, the graphics won't blow your mind but the game seems really solid, I mean it's FTP so the cash grabs are in it, but it seems mostly balanced, they use those chance at epic mount boxes you buy with real money to get rich lol
I just really like the whole bits of RTS thrown into it, instead of just you, it's a big squad of mercs that you lvl up as well, and it has player owned homes and cities ! =D I love that lol
but again just got into it like.. 2 days ago, I dunno end game.
Bloodline Champions is really fun if you want a LoL esk type game without all the item crap.
Brawl Busters is surprisingly fun for a.. Third person..arena combat type game with RPG elements.
