I just noticed some Lotro Multibox videos on Youtube. The guy has used 5 RKs and a Warden to go from 1 to 60. He is using ISBoxer from Lavishsoft.com I checked them out once before and they were too difficult for me to setup, so I went with mmoviper to do my multiboxing. I have been using Viper since level 1 and have an RK, Guard, Min combo at lvl 55.
I am thinking about trying ISBoxer again since they have upgraded and now have sample code for each game in order to assist in the setup process. Does anyone else on this forum do any multiboxing with Lotro?
If so, what are you using?

I ran out of room when MoM came out nov 2008 and bought a second account.
I really couldn't play in Moria before Turbine caved in and added the ambient light slider to make seeing in Moria possible so instead of leveling to 60 like my friends I did a RK and Warden two boxed
I put the RK on follow on the warden who did all the fighting the heal over time is great for two boxing, less switching back and forth
I developed my own strategy of assisted leveling instead of power leveling when I did use higher levels to help the little guys
Some people swerar by Lax's stuff I was a very early user of playnice and the other eq items when I did 5 boxing....
for lotro I resized one window (the main guys) so I could see the bottom quickslot bar of the other char (had mostly heals in order there) that was underneath.
Since the other char (RK) was always following the Warden he was always selected and any buffs or the big non aoe heals went straight to him once attunement level was made.
So during a fight if adds sprang up and I was protecting my wardens undying title (he died at 24.5 first time:( clicking the RK's first heal switched screens and I "climbed the ladder" to attunement 6 and the good heals then switched back to the warden via the tray icons by the start button rather than alt-tabbing, it seemed faster......
Then after getting them to 51 each I mostly two boxed the boring Loth rep quests which really sped things up since those are so time consuming just going point a to b over and over....

if you have two accounts and were able:
to start loader get to char select
start loader get warning lotro client was running, close that then start loader third time getting two second char screen and going from trhere...
and did this with only one folder for lotro
currently you have to ->

I've been told the engineers didn't change anything, but there is a work-around:
- Copy the entire Lotro folder to another directory
Run the launcher in the original directory and the launcher in the new directory. For some reason you can no longer run the launcher in the same directory in which the game has already running.
Previously the easiest way to dual-box on the same machine was just to change the ini for unique port and run the launcher again once the first client runs. This will no longer work with SoM. (It's either a side-effect of how the launcher works or maybe intended?)
From everything I've heard or been told, there isn't a problem dual-boxing on a single machine, it just isn't supported by Turbine and not recommended.
