Quick way to do lore fragments : LOTRO - Discussions

It helps if you are bound at Rivendell, and are above 45, having done epic Book 5.

Activate Lore Fragment Quest by Last Homely House.

Go to the reflecting pool, about 100 feet away over bridge as if going up path to AH but turn sharp left going behind large rock (you should see a quest ring from new Sage there)

Activate The Last Refuge from your choices.

No matter your class you have to hit each mob in order to loot it.

The instance starts with four non signature dourhands rushing Gimli, these are the main course, going further depends on your class.

Make sure to quickly hit each mob, or using Gimli's assist button fight each mob that he is fighting although rarely he seems to aoe and might kill a mob you haven't touched yet.

Minstrels use Gimli as a tank

Champs use your aoe attacks

Hunters use your rain of arrows

Capts after first kill use your aoe shout

Guards use bow as the dourhands initially run towards you and quickly use next target button to hit all 4

Burgs can use throwing weaps as they approach

Lm's use quickest fireball or other damage

After the first four Gimli moves forward and fights two signatures and a normal kill normal first and if a melee type work with Gimli to kill the signatures/Foremen if a squishier character back off and let Gimli die.

Gimli dies ALOT doing this:)

You can stop after the first four and let Gimli die, and re-do the instance, it rarely takes more than 3 attempts to get all 5 lore fragments.

The beauty of doing this here is the proximity of the AH and Mailbox (doing this at Annuminas, there is no mail there) plus only a 100 feet to travel from fragment quest giver and reflecting pool. If you were bound at Thorin's Hall you had a time consuming ride to Sarnur both ways, this is much quicker.

I can do all my higher levels in less than ten minutes.

Now one warning very rarely the Foreman rush in while you are killing the first four characters and squishier classes can die but rez circle is close by........
