No one plays this game, or no one posts, whatever it is, its bandwith/ space wasted.

The game has great promise and the way Turbine is handling the pre-beta community is great. I say keep the forums up because this game is going to draw a lot of attention as the beta draws nearer simply from the name. Not to mention betas offer a great array of bugs, hacks and exploits to play with.

Yea no point to close this area. I think it will be good as well. I am a big fan of AC. However they didnt listen with AC2 but i think they are going to with this one.

All can sign up for the beta release right now. Go to lotr.turbine.com and sign up for the beta release.
There are also videos of the game available. It looks promising. I'm definitely going to be giving it a try. I hope I get in for the beta.
Turbine is saying that the release date will be sometime in 2006. With a beta release soon, I can't wait to try it out.
Lord of the Rings was the story that started all of the existing fantasy role playing games that are massively multiplayer and based on mideval times. And from what the developers are saying about it, it looks to be a really good game. They've considered the books and movies very closely as well as how to design a good online game.
