Just paid for a years subscription to get LOTROExtreme and when I try to start it I get this error:
(!empty($user->lang['QUOTE'])) ? $user->lang['QUOTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'QUOTE'))): A startup error occurred. Update thread has taken longer then 30s to initialize. Stopping.

Yeh, we all know about that problem, currently a new version will be out this week which will upgrade you from 0.9.1 to 1.0. The problem accured due to the expansion because the program uses memory addresses and they have changed, so the developers are almost starting from scratch having to look up each bit of information again.
Shouldnt be too long and welcome to the site

How much of the delay in getting out the next version is due to:
1) additoinal features
2) additional "security" (which isn't a feature for any legit user)
3) updating memlocs post-patch
???
if most of it is (3) then I don't see a bright future for this program... lotro will be patched again before they get their updates out the door...

Patience Script Kiddy, providing quality software is not something typically done "quickly" and Wyvern is known for providing quality - when he publishes a production version - it will work and will have a bright future.

Trust me we have GIANT great new version planned. We had it ready for awhile the problem is there are certain people who want to take apart the work we have done and attempt to sell it as something they made. Dont get mad at us we want to release it now but the problem is due to those few we can not. So whats going on it is has to be redone for extra security. On a better note i am following its progress and its VERY close to completion. Very close is all i want to say because when i give specific dates i tend to get an onslaught of people complaining if we are a short a few days hah.

I just wanted to say that you guys are doing a great job, special thanks to Wyvern. This program rocks and it's ours for only 25$ a year, plus a whole bunch of usefull infos. A big THANKS for the whole UNLEASHED team. You're amazing and really make my game fun.

Looks like these posts were from almost a month ago. Can't very well test out software for 7 days if I can't get it running.

I was wondering about this myself. But I guess they don't want to bring too much attention to that site.

Starting to think lotroextreme might be a dead project... been over a month, seems a bit much for minor upgrades and security? not flaming.. just wondering..

It ain't dead. It's Un-Dead!
Eventually Wyvern will release for public consumption and all doubts will be removed.
In the mean time ......
