So is COH fun? : COH - General / Guide - Discussions

Some people love it. Others hate it. I never did the beta so i dont know, however im curious if people like it.

I would like to know what people think about it to

i watched my roomate play the beta for a few hours the other night
i liked the way it seemed to play has same camera movement as lineage2
its looks beautiful graphic wise and it looked like alot of fun i was very well entertained just watchin

I was kinda skeptical about playing it because it didn't seem to have alot of content ... most of the fun seem to be in actualy making the hero's but my friend convinsed me to try it out and i have been playing it for over a week now and i'm kinda disapointed that the beta is almost up.
I may end up buying the game actualy.
There are TONS of options in actualy creating your hero and after your done the game is actualy alot of fun .... alot more content than i originaly thought. So yeah i would say it was cool

Actually, the camera movements arn't like lineage2, you can't see the front of your character, the controls are very different as well, theres almost no similiarities to L2...

NCSoft has completly differnt people working on these games its nothing like l2... id have to say its alot more fun at first, its not really a mmorpg feeling game at all, kind of feels a lil arcade/console action/semi fps ish...


I love soem of the features in this game, you cant party with people higher than 9 levels than you. But say your lvl 11, you can be a level 36 superheroes sidekick which is elite.... Its really a clever and fun game... Im proably going to be p2p playing both l2 and this game, I was only going to chose one but... jeeze

Id also like to point out it runs a billion times smoother than l2....

But thats becuase things are more comicy and less graphics strain..

I use middle mouse button, hold it down and rotate camera.


I gave up on Lineage 2 after I played COH. Very similar comcepts but COH is much better.

Im going to have to p2p both l2 and this, breakin me budget...

*sniff, it's over! I loved how I only got 10 fps max during the Rikiti invasion hehe.

I don't know about long term playability for this game though... I mean, from what I hear (from lvl 17+ guys), the game got kinda repetitive... Missions, team, missions etc.

I suppose it's fun if you can find a nice team and do a buncha missions together

Once the reviews come out, I'm gonna make my decision

U know, there is no MMORPG that's gonna make everyone happy, I guess I like COH cause of the superhero stuff, it reminds me of Freedom Force.

L2 is as boring, even worse, you don't get many quests once you reach level 25+ and all u do is kill, kill and kill.
Any game that makes me fall asleep in the middle of aftrenoon makes me thing if I really wanna p2p.


BTW, I only figured the middle button cause I set it as JUMP and I was jumping and suddenly my camera moved as I held MIDDLE and RIGHT ARROW. So it was a mistake:) thing.

OH yes and you can be EVIL in the expansion pack for COH... ha ha ha muha ha ha ha ha he he he

Edit: Never mind, they're both.

It really helps when the developer's done other MMO's, more experience with the category etc

Well, I'm done with L2, CoH is 100 times better as CoH does not follow so many of the rules that MMOG's use (times sinks, grinds, etc) as a standered. I'll be on the Justice server if anyone want to chat, names The Cure and I should look somthing like Robert Smith from the band of the same name.
