Mission Difficulty Levels

Upon speaking with a Field Analyst, you will be offered a chance to raise the difficulty of your missions going forward. The fee is level based (i.e. increasing as you level) and is approximately 1000 influence per level. This is a one time fee for each change, regardless of how high you take the difficulty. Raising it one level or raising it to the maximum is the same fee.

The following are the various difficulty levels and the changes to the mission numbers:

Hard Boiled (Default)

Foes are 0/+1 of your level. Normal quantity.

Tenacious

Foes are 0/+1 of your level. Higher quantity.

Rugged

Foes are +1/+2 of your level. Normal quantity.

Unyielding

Foes are +1/+2 of your level. Higher quantity.

Invincible

Foes are +2/+3 of your level. Normal quantity.

Upon changing the level, you will notice in the upper right of your mission window the current Mission Difficulty (i.e. Hard Boiled, Tenacious, etc). Your missions will now be scaled accordingly, even those you have already received from your contacts and are currently in your mission queue. When teamed, the mission difficulty will be reflected by the owner of the mission. For example, if everyone in the team is set for Hard Boiled, but the mission owner is set for Invincible, the mission will be scaled to the Invincible level.

If you wish to once again lower the mission difficulty, simply visit any of the Field Analysts and change to the desired level (for another fee). There is currently no way to make the default difficulty (Hard Boiled) easier, only more difficult.
